Maybe I need more shoes like that.</p> <p>Elly, the reason the ankle boots aren't all-day shoes is the heel is 2.5 inches, which is the highest heel I own. They make the skin under the ball of my feet sore after awhile. They aren't that dissimilar to the Danskos that you linked to, although a bit less chunky. What I wouldn't do is wear an open-backed clog with skinny jeans - I think that would look a bit odd. I think it depends on the proportions of the person.
