Limited clothing size ranges, both those that only offer straight sizes/stop at about a US 16-18, AND those that grudgingly offer plus sizes but smaller sizes only (stopping at about a US 24 or so), charge more for plus sizes, and only offer a small sliver of their range for those of us in large bodies.

Indigoprint, bras, yes, 1000%. You have no idea how deeply envious I am of people who can go without, or get away with little scraps of fabric cut into a vaguely bra-like shape. Getting the right fit, lift, shape, some semblance of comfort, and maybe if it’s not too much to ask, a bit of sexiness or prettiness, in a bra of my size requirements is an exercise in frustration. My last bra stockup (from about two years ago) is starting to get worn out, and I am hoping to change size a bit so I’ve been putting off a refresh, but it’s getting a little dicey, and I dread it.

Anyway, mine are shoes. I have large feet. It’s almost impossible to find comfortable and particular for an occasion shoes. Sigh.

What was annoying me today was that I am looking for a floaty shirt dress, and I want one with a proper full collar, not just a band collar.

But hearty amen to most of the above. I only buy padded exercises bras when the padding is stitched in. (from Cotton on, for the Aussies) I need all the padding I can get!

Thick elastic waistbands on my yoga short that I usually wear under short dresses and skirts. They’re almost always too loose, causing visible lines/bulk under my clothes, or too tight, causing extreme discomfort and even digestion issues.

Over the knee socks that simply won’t stay up. I’m taking about the thick cotton or woolen ones, not the lacy lingerie thigh-highs that usually have some kind of plastic lining at the top that makes them adhere to your skin (although I do have issues with those as well due to my chicken legs) .

I had to fix the pads in my bathing suit the other day, and it was like an IQ test.

The bane of my clothing existence is proportions. I just don't pay attention on a daily basis, and so I am forever making my legs look short with flat shoes and untucked shirts.

Agreeing with all the previous comments especially the itchy labels one. As a rule I take them all off. If I forget a couple of bandaids over the label has done in a pinch.

Adding low/wide arm holes on garments to the list, especially sleeveless garments. I wonder if they get the proportions right on their size 0 fit model and then size up everything including the arm holes? Idk but it’s very annoying.

Logo tshirts, or brand names on lots of things. As my mom used to say, if they put the logo on the front, they should pay the wearer to be the walking advertisement. Also, unisex tshirts which are too tight in the neck and hips and too wide in the shoulders, but they have cute designs.

Maybe not a bane with any of my actual clothes, but it certainly has made clothes shopping difficult lately: I'm going to go with all the cut-outs, overly-puffed sleeves, bows, and general "little girl" aesthetic plaguing women's dresses. And if it's not the little girl aesthetic, it's often plunging necklines and backs, and thigh-high slits. When a dress is so bold as to combine elements from both of these categories ... HOLD MY BEER. :)

Lot of ditto.

Delayed Disaster shoes. Like, whaaat?

Tags sewn in seams in a way that deforms the seam.

Brand logos! I have at times found an otherwise perfect handbag or clothing item or shoe but just have to walk away. Even with considering various possible removal or concealment strategies.

Being “ between sizes” or things either shrinks or not shrining as planned for- especially tops.
Apparently I am super- sensitive about some aspects of fit and when that goes off the tiniest bit I won’t wear it any more.

“ Crew necks” that actually have a degree of scoop in front. So many T style tops have that.

To me, modesty is the entire purpose of a bra- so why on earth would I want the fussy cutlets to be removable???

Agreeing about the heel sliding shoes. Many feet are naturally much narrower in the heel than the toes- Why Aren't Shoes???

While on the topic of feet- Socks!! I'm so tired of sorting my washed socks in the winter.

Linings that do not shrink at the same rate at the rest of the garment. I've tossed So Many nice things because of this.

Bad quality fabrics (agree about that dang pilling!)

Tags that are in every language known to man and beast (I’m sure they’ll add washing instructions in Klingon next.) Those things can sometimes rival the size of War and Peace (large print version).

Seams and stitching that come undone. Buttons that fall off after a couple of washes.

LOL at the cutlets! I don’t buy anything with those that can’t be removed and thrown away, because any garment with them is clearly not made for me (real bra always required, sadly)!

Pretty much all of the above. Tags bug me on the back of my neck way more than they used to, so I’m forever reaching for my tiny manicure scissors or seam rippers to remove them. Even on high end garments. And yes, Rachy, on scarves! I just did careful surgery on my new McQueen scarf to remove one of those darn tags. And yes, the full booklets that are included in the side seam of every garment — I’m looking at you, Zara.

Shoes that slide off my heels, like Suz. I lament that I will never find loafers again to suit me.

Pilling fabrics drive me crazy. Especially when it’s not even a knit and seems like pilling would not even be feasible. Almost always discovered too late to return but too soon to feel the item has gotten sufficient use to deserve to be thrown away.

Not sewing down plackets on shirts. I have to spritz them and settle them after taking button downs out of the dryer. One seam would eliminate this.
Not sewing down pockets in pants, so they need to be settled every time you visit the necessity. Just tack, people.
Not sewing down linings, so they ruck and ruin a fit. Making linings too light for the purpose, so they fray and look all polyester on an otherwise decent garment.
Etc. Missing steps in construction make for a very cheap experience.

Ooh yes Rachy tags on scarves, eeek!
Runcarla only in the last couple of years plaids and patterns that do not line up started bugging me too.

I used to cut all tags out of clothes for years, but now only the enormous ones.
