Ooooh funny story!! Sorry about the malfunction! I'm sure no one noticed. Yep good reminder to shop for new ones. I'm guilty of wearing-till-falling-apart too. Sadly never popped out of a bra though...nothing there hahaha

I'm looking for wireless bras. A couple of months ago the wires set off the security when flying and I got pulled aside. I'd really like to avoid that. Maybe it will mean taking the wires out

Thanks for the support (pun intended?) and the laughs! Party went well and I think the benefit of wearing a bubble skirt is that nobody notices a slightly droopy right boob! (In any case J said he couldn't tell when I had clothes on.).

I do have plenty of other bras but this is a good reminder that some of them need to be replaced. I have actually had an eBay alert for this one for a while now but no hits so far. It is discontinued and also a brand that's hard to find in the USA in general.

I've had underwires cutting through and poking out of the fabric, but never broken into separate pieces!
(And when they would poke through, sometimes I would tape them back into place to keep wearing a beloved bra a little longer... those were my cash-strapped student days...)

This HAS happened to me before lol. Its kind of hilarious but very inconvenient. I do need quite a bit of support so I would have actually removed the other side as well to keep things balanced and also for the comfort. It felt weird to have one side supported and the other not. Needles to say, time for a new bra

That is both horrible and hilarious. It would have to happen on a day when you are going out straight from work!! I think the sweater will disguise it, but if not, Sveta's suggestion of bright lipstick is excellent. Or, you could try a run in your hose, to ensure they are looking at a different malfunction?

Can't get the other wire out without cutting open a seam and sewing it back. The only reason I got the broken one out was that the ends had poked through.

I may remove the other one when I get home. Sometimes I like a nice wireless bra. But on the other hand maybe it's time to let this one go.

So I am currently at work, and in a couple of hours I am headed to j's holiday party. A little while ago I noticed that my bra seemed to be poking me painfully. Upon investigation, it turns out that I somehow managed to *snap* an underwire and the jagged ends were poking through the fabric! What to do???

I ended up pulling the two pieces of wire out so at least I'll still have a bra for the party tonight... Hope I don't look too lopsided with only one underwire. What would YLF have done? (No time to go home or to a store that sells bras!)

Gah. Guess this is a sign I need to buy new bras. This one was my favorite too. Sigh.
