They are not "real" riding boots but Clark's riding boot lookalike winter boots. They are good for our climate, though. It's nice because it keeps me from swimming in sweat when it's a bit warm out, and keeps me warm in the winter. Ones lined with fabric are ok, as is fleece so long as they are for cold weather. I do NOT like ones lined in synthetic leather - it's nasty, sticky, and does not breathe. Why buy leather boots if they're going to feel like fake leather anyway? I have a pair of riding boots that are fabric lined but have the icky fake leather at the top.
