Khris, any loss is good loss Way to go! Bummer that they canceled the class. Hope you find something good in its place.

kari, Khris has a point. I've found food tracking also helps me make sure I'm not overdoing the carbs (even fruits taken into account) or fat. I try to keep to a 40-30-30 balance of carbs, protein and fat. It's a little bit of work setting up some custom foods and such but soon it won't take more than a few minutes of your time.

Christine, it is hard But you're making the effort and soon you will see results :-)

Chris, I hope things work out well. Keep us posted.

rute, sounds like you have a great plan! Congrats on the 2 lb loss!

Brianna, sihaya - Yay for you getting and staying on track! As long as we're putting in the effort, something will give soon!

I've been eating and working out well but I haven't seen any changes in the last few weeks. I hope to see something soon It's so discouraging sometimes. Especially when I want to buy clothes in new cuts and styles, inspired by everyone here.

Brianna- it must feel nice to get back to your Yoga. Any loss is a good loss!

I went down 0.6 lbs this week. It's been consistent for the last few days so I think it's a real loss. It's not a lot, but it's a start! Actually, I showed a 1.2 lb loss total today (from 166.6 to 165.0) but I won't trust that extra 0.6 until it 'sticks' for a couple of days.

I've been trying to eat LOTS of fruit and veggies, to walk daily, and I made it to yoga last Thursday for the first time since the Chickadee arrived.

My weight is fluctuating constantly lately - I have to track things on a "hormone" chart and I think the gains are hormone realted. Also having tests for hypthyroidism this week so will find out if that is a cause.
No excuses though - I can control some things and the first is exercise.
I have been walking 3 miles a day (at least 5 days a week) and feel it's not challenging enough for me. Looking to up my game.
Food has been healthy overall. A bit heavy on carbs Friday and Saturday - ok , everything in moderation.
Tried on some clothes that were horribly tight in last five months and found some fit - hurray! My "test" skirt is still too tight so I know I am not at goal.

Size is just a number in clothes for me - I picked a few items in my closet to guage myself on.

This week hasn't been great. I ate a lot of fruits & veggies at the beginning of the week, but then things started going downhill & just continued as the week progressed. I haven't stepped on the scale because I don't want to know. But, this is a new week, right?

That is good Sihaya- any workout is a good workout, too! I had to weigh in super early yesterday morning, and I knew it wasn't a "true" read. This morning I am down another 2 pounds, so it's all good.

Khris - I'm glad you think of any loss as a weight loss - good for you! Sadly, I only hit half my exercise goal last week and this week will be the same due to a spike in my to do list. But I'm there at the gym at least a couple of days and that's good. I am paying extra attention to portion sizes this week as a result.

Kari- have you tried tracking your calories to see if that's the problem? If you're moderately active, you may just not be eating enough calories. I know that if I eat under about 1400 I will hold onto weight, rather than loosing it. I use the tracker at Sparkpeople.com, but there are other free ones online you could try.

Khris, this week I am just baffled. For months I started losing weight out of nowhere. In May I tried & succeeded at maintaining the 10-12 pound loss (give or take since I fluctuate throughout the month.) Starting the beginning of June I really tried to kick up my effort to move more and eat more fruits and veggies and less fattening or sugary food. I've actually *gained* several pounds in the last week, and it's not muscle mass and isn't hormonally related. I'm snacking on healthy stuff (snap peas, fruit) and have cut my carb intake down, but still at a moderate level. I'm drinking water and tea instead of drinks with calories. I'm not overeating to make up for it. So I'm left incredibly frustrated and perplexed at my body.

How is everyone doing this week?
I'm down .8, and I say that any loss is a good loss! I wasn't able to get all of my workouts in last week, and I just noticed that they cancelled one of the classes that I have been going to. Bummer! But I have had to buy a few smaller items, so things are progressing none the less.
