Pink cardi - I dont think I saw your previous post but it's not working for me with that skirt. I am wondering if the skirt is a tad too short or maybe you could try it with a more a-line shaped skirt. That way you'll be following the line of the bottom of the cardi.

White Jeans - I love that look on you, gives you a long lean line. I think for some extra zing you could wear maybe red or another color sandals.

Black dress jacket - I think it's very flattering on you. You could actually wear that with the white jeans. It looks like a pretty good fit to me but I always test them by flinging my arms back & forth to see if it pulls too much over my back or bust.

Black silk top - this is ok, I have an aversion to those kind of sleeves though I dont think they create the most flattering armline. I think if you keep it you might need to wear some brighter colors closer to your face because the black does wash you out a bit.

Suit - donate. I think it's a little dated and the skirt seems to be puckering a bit at the front so maybe not the best fit for you.

Hope that helps

Thanks, all. Bj - I definitely wouldn't wear the suit jacket with those white jeans IRL, that was just me being lazy taking pictures And the skirt is a bit tight at the moment.

All of a sudden I find I want my jackets/cardigans to be a bit longer. I'd shied away from it b/c I didn't want them to hit me at my widest part but what the overall proportions are seems to be more important than that.

I'm leaning toward keeping the jacket and top and donating the suit - partially b/c I don't have any tops that really go with it, besides black which is a little harsh.

I like the pink cardi. It's a fun color and style. I think it looks great with that skirt and would also look good with a slightly longer, fitted skirt as well (or perhaps clams.) The drapey cardigan is lovely as is the black silk top. I think the top would look great with a statement necklace and jeans.

I'm clueless in the blazer department so I'll defer to others on that--although I like the suit as a unit.

I like the pink cardi much better with the skirt. May not be perfect, but worth holding on to I think.
I love that flowy cardi on you. And, I plan to wear my white jeans past Labor Day... probably at least through September. October too if it's warm enough.

I vote keep the first jacket and the silk top. Both are flattering on you. The suit can go....

pink cardi, still too much volume

white jeans--love the dark over light. love love love the cardi cascading over the front.

black jacket--don't think it's too wide at the shoulder. i get that dimpling sometimes when the sleeve rides up. pulls a touch in the front, though i like the high stance. how do you feel about it.

pinstripe jacket and skirt--like them together. does the skirt feel snug? i can see pulling out the jacket for a biz casual look, but the outfit with the jacket alone seems too casual for the jacket. i can see the skirt with a cardi or maybe with an untucked button down and your cascading cardi???

I posted a pic with this questionable cardigan a while ago and someone suggested I try it with a skirt. Here it is - do you think it works or is there still too much volume around the waist? [Cardigan, thrifted; tank, Nordstrom; skirt, Gap; shoes, Dress Barn]

From today, getting my white jeans wear in before Labor Day, and experimenting with light on bottom and dark on the top [Jeans, chico’s; gray top, thrifted; drapey cardigan, Nordstrom; sandals, Born]

I’ve done another cull of my closet, 3 bags full going out so far. Fall seems to be threatening, at least a little bit, and with some recent additions I can get rid of the “will do until I can get something better” pieces.
I also went through my ‘dressy clothes’ garment bags, which I’ve not looked at in a while. I came up with a few pieces that I wasn’t sure about, which I’d love to get opinions on.
Black jacket (photo lightened to show detail) - the shoulders are a bit too wide on this, leaving a dimple below the shoulder pad. Not sure if it’s bad enough to be a no-no.
Black silk top (photo also lightened) - I’d officially forgotten I had this one, which is embarrassing. Not sure about length and/or flippy sleeves.
Suit - jacket only, jacket and skirt. Worried about proportions with this one, jacket length etc.
