Can't weigh in on weather choices from the East Coast but chiming in to say I've stalked the brown laced ankle boots in your finds and am ordering them in black... they're what I've been searching for and am hopeful they work out!

The vest and short black puffer are ubiquitous in Seattle. Trench is more stylish.

Don't know how cold you run, but today was only 9 degrees C. Wet. Grey. I'm wearing cami, T-neck, blazer, jeans, tall boots and anorak. Exact items below, Jenn.

Sunday is supposed to be much nicer. Bring warm layers, so that you can peel off.

I'm glad that you decided to add the puffer as well--I'm cold today! For this morning's dogwalk, I wore my new LL Bean jacket with the hood up and gloves.

I can add a beanie, Firecracker. The trench is hooded too. I’m going to go ahead and bring the puffer, as it’s lightweight and takes up almost no space. If I don’t need it, I don’t need it.

Trench. Perfect trench weather here right now. You're covered if it rains, though the reports are for clearer skies and mid 50s-60s this weekend. You don't need a puffer yet.

eta: That said, I haven't attended an outdoor sports event in years. But you have sweaters and scarves to layer under the trench, so that should be good. And a hat will help--can you throw in a knit beret or beanie?

Thanks, Kari! We lived there for several years, so we'll mostly be revisiting old haunts and spending time with local friends, but we're also hoping to squeeze in a college visit for the kiddo, who is starting to weigh his options.

Either/both, but it's turned a bit chilly so bring scarves, gloves, and appropriate layering in case it's too cool for you. (Between mid-40's and mid-50's with some light rain.)

We're heading to Seattle tonight for a long weekend, and I'm trying to decide which jacket to bring. Those of you who live there, what would work best right now? Trench? Light down jacket? Puffer vest? Any combination of the above? (I'm not above bringing both.) We'll be spending a significant amount of time outside, including attending the Sounders game Sunday night. I run warm, but am often chilly in humid Seattle.

Editing to add some travel capsule pics, though everything's pretty switch-aroundable.
