Here's where bookending makes a huge difference in the completeness of the look: Now I &nbsp;wish I had a white or silver &nbsp;pair of Birks, &nbsp;and I just may spring for a pair soon. &nbsp;I wanted a flat, hippie-ish shoe to work with the serape/wrap and distressed jeans look, and as DD was in a hurry to get going, these were what I wore. &nbsp;An impromptu and early birthday dinner and drinks invite from a friend left me with little time to change, so I popped on a new top in a dressier fabric and cut, changed my jewellery and added high heels. The grey heels obviously bookend with my light hair and light top - whereas the black Birks kind of stick out like a sore thumb, don't they? &nbsp;Interesting lesson. &nbsp;Btw - I'm loving this scarfy wrappy ponchoish thing. I threatened DD with going full on boho hippie this summer, upon &nbsp;which I received the side-eye that only a 19 year old can deliver. &nbsp;I also threatened to pierce another hole in my ear, but she drew the line at that. &nbsp;Lol.&nbsp;</p> <p>Linen t - BR &nbsp;(in retrospect, I should have sized up)&nbsp;<br />jeans - Gap<br />black sandals - Birks<br />all jewellery - BR - surprisingly !
