If it makes you feel any better, I used to have a couple pairs of baby bootcuts. They never hung or draped right over my shoes. I turned them into kick flares.

UPDATE:
I received the Wit & Wisdom baby bootcuts. They are very stretchy, very comfy, didn't seem like they'd bag out. However, the "bootcut" part of the leg starts too low for me, resulting in the "calf-sucking" phenomenon. When I sat down, they rode up to the knee and then didn't release when I stood up. I do have wider calves -- 14 1/2" -- so often run into this problem, but usually not with bootcuts. Oh, well. C'est la vie.

I did learn a lot about how the sale works and the importance of getting in early when the getting's good. Next year, I'll be better prepared.

Kkards, thanks, yeah, I saw that, but it's very disheartening to have the order cancelled after it seems to goes through. I guess I don't want it so badly that I'm willing to keep trying...

Lol, suntiger! But they look great on other people. Just not right for my shape.

Thanks, Angie. It's one of the things I'm quickly learning from you and the forum -- be picky! Hold out for those 9/10s!

That's too bad about the Dres. People seem divided on this issue. The pocket placement does not bother me. Possibly because I don't look at it. The people I know who love them have different shaped bottoms and hips, so I'm not sure what the determining factors are.

Good for you for sending back what does not work, though. It's disappointing but it just means you have more $ for later on.

Rats! It's especially too bad about the jeans. I'm so glad you checked the rear view in the mirror, though! It would have been worse to have paid good money for those and then discovered the problem later.

I don't generally have a lot of success at NAS. In the past two years, everything I ordered went back. This year I might be keeping a skirt (already rec'd), plus a bra and jeans (still to come). I had high hopes of finding a leather moto, but that fell through.

Sorry and hope the W+W boot cuts work for you! 'm about 50/50 on things working out
What size do you need in the Zella hoodie? I'm usually a 10 and tried the medium which could have worked but felt too small in the whole torso and returned it. Might you need a M? I see it is available now!

I had trouble with the R&B Dre's the first time they came out because of the back view, but it was also because of the weird fading they had on that first wash -- very faded on the butt and just underneath, where I really don't need a lighter portion to highlight the area where I'm widest! But I do think their pocket placement may be tricky. However, I later bought the Dre's in burgundy, and had the waist taken in, which took care of the migration/baggy butt syndrome for me. Still, it's smart of you to recognize they didn't make you feel fab, and to move along.

Bummer that the other items didn't work out. I'm hoping the baby boot cuts work for you!

Too bad about the jeans and the boots, but I think it’s always best to be super picky during NAS, because the chance of having sale goggles is high. I do hope you’ll still look for the Zella top. It’s beautiful, and I can see it working perfectly with your style.

... I struck out.

The Rag & Bone jeans were very long. I didn't measure, but the inseam couldn't have been 30" as stated, unless that was the cuffed length. (Possible.) I'm usually a 6 or 8, and ordered the 6. It was the right size and I loved how they looked -- from the front. From the back, well, the pockets are huge and very widely spaced. Possibly because the jeans are mid-rise, not high, when I sat and then stood up again, the bottom of the pockets had migrated down a bit, below my butt. Into the crease. Not a good look, folks. They're going back. (Below, how they appeared prior to migration.)

The Blondos are great looking boots, especially for waterproof, and would be nice and warm, but they squeezed my toes width-wise and felt a little clunky. They're close enough to the Taos boots (see find) I bought last fall, which are not waterproof but are quite a bit more comfortable. So, I'll wear the Taos again this year and send the Blondos back.

Finally, I tried to snag the Zella cashmere hoodie, but my order was cancelled -- after receiving the confirmation e-mail -- not once, but twice. I gave up after that.

Still to come are some Wit & Wisdom baby bootcuts. I'll review them when they arrive. UPDATE IN COMMENTS.
