After chewyspaghetti started looking at booties with a deep V, she got me thinking about how great that extra ventilation is for a warm climate. It feels like a win to be able to slip these onto bare feet in August, and I think they’ll still be great with socks or tights later in the year. </p> <p>Picture is not great (it’s a still from a video I took at the Autry museum) but you get the idea. (By the way, if you’re in SoCal, that museum has a fun fashion exhibit right now, all about how western wear like denim, flannel shirts, fringe, and aloha shirts became woven into American culture. Lots of vintage clothing on display!) </p>
