Welcome Jean!

Based on the time of this wedding, it sounds like it probably isn't going to be a truly formal affair. If I were you, I would consider a long skirt with a nice top, but nothing too glittery or fancy, since you don't want to look overdressed. Another idea would be a pantsuit of some type, but I would strongly, strongly recommend against wearing anything white, since it is a wedding.

I am not the best person for this question. Dresses and I don't really get on.
Could you try one of those skirts with the handkerchief hems to break up the line of your legs. Put with skin tone shoes and hose so not to draw attention to your least favorite bit's?
Just a thought.

Hi Jean and welcome to the forum!
If you really don't like your legs dressy pants can be a good option. However your legs may look better than you think - we usually pretty hard on ourselves. I think that knee length skirt is the most flattering length for different body types. Do you have some dresses already or are you planning to buy one? What is your body type? What is your style preference? Maybe you can provide more information about yourself so we can help you.:-)

I am in my late 50s and will be attending a late afternoon wedding in mid-March (temperatures in the 60s). I have thick ankles and don't like my legs. What dress can I wear to feel good? The wedding will be at an upscale country inn. Thanks for your help.
