Initially I had thought I could make it into a short dress—after the wedding so I wasn’t going to shorten the top layer. I may reconsider after talking to a tailor. The top layer has a tiny rolled hem like on a scarf—definitely beyond what I can do with my clunky machine. (The bottom layer is no problem for me because i can shorten from the waist and no one will see.)<br /> I’m glad that the purple floral got some love too. I adore the print. The red floral is different for me. You can’t tell from the picture but it has a lot of movement and the bottom skirt part is sheer which makes it look “lighter” in person. It will work with any kind of waist fluctuation too! </p>
