We have similar coloring in dark hair with pale skin. So high contrast. I think there’s something “jewel box” (like diamonds/platinum on black velvet) about cool deep saturated darks near our face. The white without the scarf would have been unremarkable. The navy/cool blues makes you glow. It’s the contrast plus cool clean saturated dark that makes it imho. As an artist, I’d be interested if that was your take too. Light colors wash me out unless they are balanced w dark near my face. That’s why I have so few of them. Agreed but better, buy less, buy only what you really love balanced with high quality elegant basics. Line, proportion/balance with edge and interest is where I am also trying to go. In summer, usually my style gets a bit lighter, a little more colorful with more prints, and a little more boho. I may be thinking a bit about that and considering a possibly shift as the weather warms this spring. I tend to rely on interesting or slightly funky sandals and shoes in summer, and jewelry.
