I have a black cotton velvet blazer and two pairs of velvet shoes (burgundy and forest green) but I don't usually start wearing them until closer to the holidays. Is this just old-fashioned thinking or is it because my pieces scream holiday? I going to wear the burgundy heels to an event tomorrow with a matte navy sequin gown but I can't help to think it's too early for velvet. Does anyone else "struggle" with this? </p>
