I am still swooning over your new skirt!</p> <p>Slim cat - these were very simple outfits, but they felt right for what I was doing!</p> <p>Rachy - when it comes to light colours I really do not worry about potential spills - that is what a washing machine and Oxyclean is there for! As soon as a I get a mark on my light colours, I reach for a wet ones wipe and usually that lifts the mark immediately.</p> <p>Angie - I feel very privileged to get a K2K for my jeans and sweatshirt outfit - the colour really makes it.&nbsp;</p> <p>Kellygirl - thank you - so glad you like both of these.</p> <p>Jonesy - I did love wearing this knit dress out to dinner, it was so comfy and the sparkle made it feel special.&nbsp;</p> <p>Chewyspaghetti - a column of colour is such a fall back for me - whether on a casual day at home or going out for dinner.</p> <p>Sal - I think it would be harder for a black sweatshirt and black jeans to stand out as black is so prevalent in winter casual clothing. I have a white chiffon evening dress that is as glam as the black knit dress - but it is very sheer and I would have been cold! the black dress is so nice to wear because it is warm and dressy.</p> <p>Irina - with the prevalence of earth tones this season, it seems that cream is also now available. I really like it as an alternative to white, especially in winter.</p> <p>Mainlady - thank you, I really love both neutrals and enjoy the drama that both black and white provide.</p> <p>JAileen - I really loved the look and feel of the sweatshirt and it was fun to revisit this look which I wore as a teen, but now in a grown up way.</p> <p>Shevia - it was so lovely to be able to go out to a restaurant to celebrate DH's birthday. Unfortunately much of Australia is in lockdown due to the spread of the Delta Covid variant. In my state we are currently OK - but that can change in an instant. We have to make the most of whatever opportunities to get out and about. These are two outfits I have enjoyed wearing recently.</p> <p>I was looking for white jeans, but ended up with cream instead and have liked wearing this soft neutral. This is a relaxed, stay at home outfit, it does not get more basic than a windcheater (Australian for sweatshirt), jeans and boots for winter. The colour and batwing style really drew me to this sweater. </p> <p>It was DH’s birthday and we went to his favourite Japanese restaurant for dinner. I wore a black knit dress with boots. The dress has a silver metallic thread in the knit and boots have silver studs, so there is a bit of a sheen to the dress. Dinner was delicious. We both had oysters followed by a tempura main. DS stayed with his favourite, teriyaki chicken.</p> <p>I am looking a bit windswept, but only took the photo at the end of the evening and it was stormy weather.</p> <p>Whilst I love wearing colour, neutrals will always have an important place in my wardrobe.</p> <p><b>ETA: I just saw Angie's Blog for Today - looks like I am definitely on Team Benched!</b> </p>
