I like the premise of this one but don’t like how the F word has to be everywhere these days- even if only an initial we know what it stands for. Seems so unnecessary to me. I am very happy we don’t use that language on this forum. Keeps it more refined. I am watching because I like Stacy and Clinton as people. I have been particularly appreciative of Stacy's talk about the difficulties of perimenopause and feel that she was one of the first Gen X celebrities to do so. The best episodes were 3 and 4. Three was about a woman, Freedom, from Chicago who survived breast cancer but lost a sister to breast cancer. She had been through the life wringer and was wearing neutral sweats. They helped her find her color and mojo. Four was a bout a young Japanese American artist named Akemi who also was needed some confidence as she switched from corporate jobs to being an artist.  The premise is who/what is your fantasy look, with at least one outfit in that flavor that they test by taking the person out in NYC to a person-appropriate social event in that outfit. The next day, they try to find a "daytime," everyday-life interpretation of the hero look. The individual goes home with a suitcase full of clothes and accessories.  There is also a hair and makeover segment that can include wigs. I liked WNTW, and loved Clinton and Stacy together Though, I found it odd how Stacy could wear so many various beautiful clothes while dressing the participants in mostly classic styles. (There was some individuality but it always felt very corporate and safe to me.) The fashion part got a bit boring, but I loved the transformations! Will def seek this out and try an episode Sal on "Wear Whatever the F You Want" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wear-whatever-the-f-you-want#post-2385793 Thu, 08 May 2025 22:00:51 +0000 Sal 2385793@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ I used to love the Trinny and Susannah version of WNTW.  I bought the books and for a while it was ingrained in me.  But as time went on my views (and that of the hosts) changed.  I do think that some of the TikTok videos where they are very prescriptive are aimed at a similar audience to where I was at in the early 2000s ( Mum, limited budget, and for me, an era where the fashions were a challenge - low rise, cropped tops, beading, spaghetti straps). Reality shows in general were pretty cringeworthy at the time - Top Model, WNTW, The Biggest Loser etc......I did watch some of the Top Model shows too - I am not proud. I think I liked WNTW because I related to the looks - at the time, at least. It was basic fashion advice, and I liked their bossiness because it was done kindly with an end result that was affirming. I don't relate to this fantasy dressing at all (Paris Hilton's closet?) so I probably won't watch more. It would be kind of dreamy to walk into a curated-for-you boutique, though! I think there is a lesson in that tactic for many of us, and it also plays into the Allison Bornstein three word method too, since one of the words is the purely aspirational style. I loved What Not to Wear - although I now realize there were some problematic things about it - and I am so happy to see Stacy and Clinton together again. This show is taking a different approach by letting the clients make all the choices, starting with their “fashion fantasy” persona and then (usually) tempering that with a sense of reality (like will the second guest really wear bright yellow plaid punk trousers on the regular? Or does he feel better dialing it back some?). It’s fun to watch the transformations and S&C have some great general style and life advice to offer. I enjoyed it. It was focused on helping a young mom find her style in a way that celebrated her own taste and goals. Fun and supportive. Anyone else watch this yet?
