My and my sister were kind of horrified that they were being abandoned away from their mother so gathered them up&nbsp;and introduced them into a cage with a female pet store mouse we had. &nbsp; Within a brief period she had washed them all and collected them inside a plastic tub and made a new nest. &nbsp;The next day she was nursing them! &nbsp;She somehow developed milk?! &nbsp;As they grew they were much faster and more timid than tame mice so we released them&nbsp;in a field when they could eat dry food. &nbsp;Their foster mom ran ragged trying to keep&nbsp;up with them until then. &nbsp;She tried so hard though, and got them to adult mousehood&nbsp;:).</p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/we-got-a-mouse-and/page/2#post-1420049 Wed, 07 Jan 2015 02:37:40 +0000 Jeanie 1420049@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>What a sweet surprise. &nbsp;I remember having gerbils when I was young. Gave them away?&nbsp;</p> <p>I can't believe how fast these little guys can reproduce. &nbsp;</p> <p>My boys were never allowed to have creepy crawlys in our house. &nbsp;I know, bad boy mom, but I couldn't handle knowing there was a snake in our home. &nbsp;One time for the Boy Scouts we had to raise a tadpole into a frog. &nbsp;The project stayed in the garage. &nbsp;I used to gag when I went out there to look at the little guy. &nbsp;I "released him into the wild" very gently as soon as it got legs, but I don't think it would have survived.</p> <p>But we did have Guinea pigs!
