So many interesting experiences. Don't you wonder the "why" and "how"?
Una, how tragic for your sister. I'm glad you and your son were ok after that. Raisin, glad to hear things are looking good for your dad. Elisabeth, I don't have "spooky" feelings per se, It's just that the combination of little events is so odd it did kind of spook me yesterday. My sister says she has felt, if that is the correct term, auras. Texstyle, that is really interesting about your dreams. I've felt I should keep a dream journal just because they are so strange and quite detailed - but not to the extent of yours.

I have this happen quite frequently. Foretelling of things in my dreams. I don't want to go into details here but I keep a log of certain dreams now because so many of them contain valid "messages" of things to come. Unfortunately it seems that most often the messages are tragic in nature (and I'm not a "tragic" or depressed person). At times they are very disturbing and often personal but not always. It's all very odd, but what I've learned from my own experiences over the years is that when the dream is explicit, "loud" and most emotionally impactful, those are the times when I know. Mine often contain very specific addresses, numbers, names or images of places where the event will take place.

Oh my god, Una, I have no words. Your poor sister. I'm so sorry. That's one of the worst medical nightmares possible.

Nothing remotely psychic ever, ever happens to me. No strange coincidences, no prophetic dreams, no funny feelings, no nothing. I think you're either wired for it or not. I suppose, on some level, I don't want there to be such thing as precognition, ESP or anything "paranormal". I don't trust what I can't see for myself, and even then I don't always trust my own senses. I've been high enough times to know that my brain is perfectly capable of fabricating sensory perceptions that manifestly do not exist.

Interestingly, I used to love the X-files, and that show was all about the paranormal.

Mind you, pil, if you enjoy having the "spooky" feelings, then great! It's kind of exciting. When I was a little girl, I used to wish I would see a ghost or have a vision or anything, really, that was potentially not real. Sadly it never happened. But it would be a boring world if we were all the same.

I sometimes get the feeling like you're talking about Pil, but most of mine are more in line with who's calling me on the phone and why.

Una sorry to hear that about your sister, that is very sad. I lost a a baby when I was 22 and though it was much earlier then her, it was devastating. It sounds like you have quite a connection though!

Before Christmas I hada very vivid and strange dream about teeth crumbling and falling out and a face decaying. It was pretty horrid and weird enough that I told DH about it. Unknown to me my father chipped his tooth that week and went to the dentist for the first time in maybe 4 years. They noticed some strange looking sores on the roof of his mouth and were so worried they removed them right away for biopsy. He has been a heavy smoker for 45 years. Well my mom then told me about this over Christmas, and the doctor all but said its likely cancer...the stage we did not know then. The good news is that he found out last week they were not cancerous, they said they were pre cancerous and it was a good thing he happened to the dentist! It struck such a cord with me and my dream though, and it feels super eerie when I think of the dream now.

My mom had some dreams that were truly eerie in their prescience. I won't go into details (one involves my father's passing), but I do believe we humans have some capacity for this -- some people more than others. My mom was an extremely sensitive introvert, FWIW. I believe we are all connected.

You must have a connection with your sister, Una! Wow. Was she able to have children after?

That happened to my grandmother. Her first child was a stillborn boy. I can't imagine how they must have felt.

The eeriest thing (and one of the saddest) that happened to me: my sis and I were pregnant and due at about the same time. Tragically, they could not detect a heartbeat on her due date and had to deliver a stillbirth via surgery. Although I was across the country and wasn't told until after because of the fear it would upset me so much, I passed out right at the time of her surgery and an office mate found me lying by my desk. All went well for me but I think my sister and I have a psychic connection.

Sorry if that story is too upsetting....

Interesting! Any fleeting thoughts on the lottery?? :)

I get this with the radio all the time. I'll randomly get a tune in my head while a song is playing and then guess what the next song is??!! I don't listen to any particular station or even listen to the radio all that much, so it's not like I've got some station's rotation subconsciously memorized ...

I'm kind of spooked. Just this morning Ingunn crossed my mind and she posted again today. Just before Christmas a friend who I hadn't spoken to in quite a while crossed my mind and it turns out she has cancer. Similar thing with my child breaking up with a SO, just the most fleeting of thoughts. And when I won the Anyi Lu boots? I just had a "feeling" when I entered the contest. Weird.
