It's very hard on clothing (I've had clothing come out extremely wrinkled, and I've had it tear clothing too) and sometimes the washer does not fill up with water as much as I'd like (I know this because the clothes come out with big dry spots on them). It was an expensive machine and has had to be repaired three times (two under the warranty). It is being repaired on Monday which is great . However after Christmas I will look to get a new set as the warranty expires in February and this will &nbsp;be the third repair. &nbsp;The other two repairs totaled $500 and the machines original cost was $799 ! I bought it at the beginning of this year when we moved back from overseas and needed a new set. I walked into Sears and asked to be shown the dumbest washer they had. This was it. It's perfect. (My criteria for a washer are simple: top load, non-locking, and no "smart" anything - if I'm paying for the machine, it has to do what I want. LOVE mine. Made like a tank and sold by independent dealers. Probably all other washers have electronics which can easily go bad. My Samsung front loader died tonight . It's only 4 years old ! I want a mechanical top loader old style, wish I had kept my old one. I hated my front loader it didn't seem to wash well and it smelt awful &nbsp;despite all that I tried. Any one have a newish model mechanical washer that is still sold. The only ones I have found are by Speed Queen and they are more than I really want to spend but ....</p>
