You don't have to match your footwear to your trousers or skirt but people often like to. For summer, lighter colours can be fresh and fun. You can also go for a bright.

Yes, there are warm and cool tones for footwear as for anything...

Black is (usually) cool.

Cognac and tan are warm

Taupe is cool.

White and blue-greys are cool; greenish toned greys are warmer.

For wearing with the white or cool pastel bottoms you describe, I'll bet a silver or pewter shoe or sandal would be really versatile.

I have a black ankle strap, a golden t straps, and a tan sandal amongst others.. I realised that all these are 'warm' colours and do not go well with my summer lowers most of which are white or cool pastels.. I have a beige pair which looks cool to me but that is 3". So I'm not wearing it for longer hours due to an ankle injury..
Question is, are there such thing as warm and cool footwear?
Do footwear need to be matched to lowers? I generally don't bother but this time it looked off.
Any inspiration? Could you chime in, Angie?
I'm yellow toned, dark brown eyes, darkest brown hair..
So so so warm.. Golden looks better on me... But I'm wearing silver gray nail paint on my toes.. So confused.
