Thanks Sally those are great instructions!

Thank you Karen. I actually did get a few new bras after a fitting. It is a amazing what a difference they make, now I have to throw out the old ones. I still find myself wearing them and they really don't look good!

Thanks Brooklyn!

Looking forward to some time this weekend to play in the closet.
Hopefully tomorrow today is busy!

Your outfits and you look great! Excellent advice here. I went through a weight loss last fall/winter and have struggled with the same issues.

Buy a new bra - and look at the bra fitting posts here. I went to Nordstrom and found I was way off, even before the weight loss. At least one good set of underpinnings is key.

Shop consignment/thrift stores for some jeans, and a few less expensive items to carry you through. But only buy things you love- don't settle.

I've altered a few tops and pants myself- since I was going to donate them anyway. If the shoulders don't fit, it is a major operation. But just taking in the sides/underarms can do a lot to make a top useable for a transition period. Works well on raglan sleeves, or can make a too large shoulder a boyfriend fit.

May I suggest a hair trim, Momo. That's going to make you feel a whole lot better about your style.

You look terrific. Traci gives fabulous advice. I wish I'd had it when I was losing weight. I didn't buy anything except a pair of jeans and one shirt until I'd lost all the weight I was planning to lose, and believe me, I had a few sartorially sad months. But at the same time, it's amazing what you can do with certain pieces.

I love that 2nd outfit. The others look great too but that is really swish. I had that problem too then did the capsule thing. I.ended up going down about 2 or 3 sizes....I got my basics at cheap places then thrifted the rest.

My suggestion is to go through your closet and pull out all the items that currently work well for you. Evaluate what you end up with and see if it can make a capsule. Maybe you'll be short in one category and you can get away with buying only one or two items to work for a while.

While you're in the closet evaluating, look to see if there are any adjustments that can be made to make things work. Can your old skinny jeans be cuffed and belted to now be more of a boyfriend fit? Can your old button up be worn as more of an oversized tunic? Woven dresses can be belted. Knit dresses can be gathered on the inside with a ponytail holder to give a knotted/twisted effect that adds more shape.

Tshirts and tank tops are the cheapest items to add. I think jackets may give the most bang for your buck because a good fitting shoulder just makes everything better.

I'm finding the more items I have in my closet, the harder time I have getting dressed. Paring it all down to my best items makes it so much more workable.

I am having wardrobe woes . Part is having lost enough weight that things are fitting oddly like shoulders in jackets and armholes in tops etc .. I haven't lost enough to feel like I need new clothes but enough to feel a bit sloppy .
And truthfully I would love some new clothes but $$$ is low.
And the weather
Now freezing in the am and hotish in the pm
And maybe I am feeling like a style shift? Although I am not sure in which direction .
So..
Every morning I am at a loss and I try on many items and end up with a disaster of clothing everywhere.

Help?! Any suggestions on how to get my self back on track.

That said
Here are some things I wore .

1) minimalist pirate for school spirit week
2) burgundy jeans I got this summer which I do like . Jacket shoulders are too big.
3) all good except shirt went in donate bin as it has become too large and kept exposing my bra . Ugh . Oh and my favorite jacket is a bit big in the shoulders now
