So, every year or year and a half for me. I don't pack away things seasonally, but keep them all in one closet, except that I don't bring every last thing I own when I come to FL. So the very wintery items stay in CA. Less time commitment (5 sec decision) and I think it is less overwhelming for me. I have a general idea as to style/cut works for my body so all I have to assess are the fit and age of the outfit. Having capsules is a new thing for me and something I will need to work on. </p> <p>I think the last time I truly did an assessment or review was about 2-3 yrs ago when we reorganized our closet. Yes, I must say... that would be a good place for me to start. </p> <p>I weed every couple of months. I review in my head when I pass the shops and see something I like. BUT I have never done a proper review, examined the gestalt.</p> <p>When I was little, my mother took me for one big shopping trip in the fall. There'd be a dress for Christmas later and then maybe one or two little things in summer. I sort of miss that "done for the year" feeling. I kind of do it mentally during the season, so when the wind is changing I pack away seasonal clothing and put some items in a holding zone to keep for one more season (but to be purges if not worn or realized that I can get rid of it).
