That's a great-looking little purse. It doesn't look cheap to my eye at all.

Mo - yes, knowing the difference between wanting and needing is important! You have been such an inspiration for me because of your ability to SYC and also setting a budget and sticking to it.

I don't have any dress for real gala events, but that is not part of my lifestyle at all I have a brocade dress with golden threads and bottle green velvet on the upper part of the dress. I find it really beautiful and my grandmother made and it. (not properly zipped in the back in this pic)

Thank you Rabbit Heart, Deborah, Suz, TraceyLiz65, RunnerRae and Mo!

So good to know that I can wear the bag with confidence! I don't have many bags, but I do like it when they lift an outfit up a notch - and cheap looking bags are definitely *not* doing that ;-)

I've done some googleing and there are some Brandal productions, Swedish design, handbags out there. They are all marketed as vintage, though no specific decade. The closest I got was some time between 1980-87 for one black clutch, but I do think this one might be a bit older because of the style - but I'm not an expert.

Hurray on the wardrobe! No idea on the bag, I'm afraid.
Yes, I, too have 'all my bases covered' but it doesn't stop me from wanting It's good to recognize the difference, though. My wanting a jewel toned fine gauge sweater is different than having a legitimate wardrobe 'hole' lol. I have sweaters to keep me warm. And can get an outfit together for all of life's big occasions - funeral, job interview, wedding, travel, fancy dinner, etc.

That's so great that you have a fulfilled working wardrobe. I can't wait to get there myself. I have no idea about the decade of the bag, but I think it's really nice, looks to be in great shape and not cheap at all.

What a great stage to be in where now you are not filing in holes or gaps in your wardrobe, but really defining items that you want to create your style. A leather moto will be fun...

Lovely bag - looks 60s/70s to me, too. That type of clasp on top was something my mom had.

Yay for feeling fulfilled in your current wardrobe; that is great news! Post some pics when you get a chance.

This is a gorgeous bag and it doesn't look cheap to me. It's quite a find. I couldn't date this, but I think I might do an Internet search as I'm quite curious. Something about it suggests 60's/70's.

The bag is wonderful, not cheap-looking at all! And judging by the photos, in excellent condition. I could use one like this myself. I cannot tell which decade it's from, though. Could be anything from 1950s to 1980s. The braided handle is supercute, but I think it makes the bag more suitable for spring and summer.

Lately I've been so absorbed in work, so very little shopping has been done. And I can happily admit that my wardrobe is working really well! I actually have everything I *need*, though some stuff are always on my wishlist I have outfits for formal and informal work days, dressy and casual dinners and MOTG outfits (both jeans and skirt / dress options). Mo said something like this some moths ago, and it feels good, but also a bit scary because now I really have to justify what I buy and what should let go. That said - I love the hunt and I'm saving up for a leather moto - and will eventually need help to choose ;-)

The autumn, winter, cold spring wardrobe is much easier to work with than the summer wardrobe which is really frustrating. I am sort of covered, but not really happy about this part of my wardrobe, but I'll see what to do with it when time comes.

Anyway - I found this vintage handbag in a second hand store the other day. I don't think it is real leather, but it is in good shape. The brand is Swedish, but I don't know which decade it could originate from. Any ideas??

I saw several similar white bags in Berlin two months ago, but they were SOO expensive (and probably real leather), so I thought I might find something similar at a better price at some of my thrifting places here.

I thought it could be nice for spring and summer. When trying it with today's outfit, I thought it also might be appropriate as a white winter bag too. What do you think?

BTW - does it look like cheap plastic? Hmm - I think it looks better IRL than in the pic's

All comments and feedback welcome
