Ahhhhh so tidy and soothing!

I agree with other posters that if swimwear is flattering and in decent knick it’s best to hold on to it!

I’ll repeat my recommendation for Uniqlo heattech camisoles. I’m super late to the party here but I’m just loving them.

Ugh, fleece or any kind of bulky pajamas make me sweat just thinking about them! Bye-bye.

Good work! I agree on keeping swimwear because if something fits and is flattering, it saves the highly unpleasant (at least to me) task of swimsuit shopping. (We have a pool so our swimwear gets a lot of use in summer, making multiples more of a necessity.)

The last of my Target tanks from a few years ago gave up the ghost, but I have some from Gap and Nordstrom (Halogen and BP) that are pretty good. Size up in BP if you try them, they are juniors cut.

Someone say mint tea? Target has these A New Day tanks Im using as camis, and they seem ok. They dont ride up like a lot of other ones. I think I paid $8 or so.

Nicely organized but I wouldn’t have expected any chaff in your closet!

Fleece is the worst for sleeping. I shudder just thinking about it - the heat, the static ... I like sleeping in woven cotton pj pants and a cotton cami. We keep our house cool/cold in winter and I much prefer to add another blanket than wear heavier pjs!

Agree with Jessikams that rash guards and surf shorts are super useful. The best for paddling or any activity where you're in and out of the water. I have four swimsuits right now, and feel no shame. (They were not in my basics review, because I file them under gear instead.)

My big complaint with camis is that the shoulder strap adjusters always wear outbefore the rest of it does! The straps getting longer as the day goes on drives me batty.

And don't get me started on fleece PJs. My niece wears fleece footie PJs almost every night. DS gets them as hand-me-downs and flat-out refuses to wear them. We keep the house cool at night, but we all sleep waaay too hot to wear fleece to bed in any scenario other than cold-weather camping. Also, I've found that sleeping in polyester is terrible for eczema as it wicks all the natural moisture out of your skin.

Keep the rash guard! I use mine ALL the time but not for surfing more for UV protection when canoeing, kayaking etc. it’s great as a layer under a life vest as it protects your skin from chafing.

I also like to use the rash guard and surf shorts as sport/daywear that can become swimwear depending on how the day turns out —for example on a sailboat. I love that I don’t have to worry about boobs or butt being exposed when jumping in the water.

I miss those Target Merona tanks too. I still buy there tanks but they don't look good for very long. A friend swears by Nordstrom bp camisoles and they are good but I prefer a light tank over a cami most of the time.
Has anyone tried the ones offered by Lands End?

I laughed at your static comment - I accidentally sent my son to kindy

I agree that you shouldn't purge if you have only 4 pieces of swimwear. They will wear out less quickly and it's so hard to find swimwear for most of us.

Fleece jammies are terrible.

Hiya, I just completed my review - things in decent shape happily. Although I committed to limiting my purchases, I excluded basics from that, but as it happens, a few pieces will be all I need for basics. Here's the details for interested folks:

Swimwear. Have 2 full-pieces and 2 two-pieces, which is loads for me. Could easily get it down to 2, but kept the pieces that are still in good condition and flattering that I don't wear as much, as I tend to 'over-purge'. Also have a long-sleeve cover-up shirt, a cover-up halter dress and a rash guard, which I may toss as I rarely wear it - will wait until summer travel plans set though.

Tanks and camis. Dire need of refreshing. Some were complete tat; some uncomfortable. I'm left with four, and they are in need of replacement but will do until then. I wish Target still had the Merona tanks; those were the best! Will hunt for some soft and comfy ones this weekend if I have time (will scour posts for recos or please share!)

Workout Stuff. Got rid of one old hoodie that's uncomfortable, and a few pairs of capri-length leggings that I never wear. Have plenty for my needs - two leggings, two shorts, three sports bras, three looser tops, and a light-weight pull-over.

Jammies. Got rid of some fleece ones that are too hot and don't breathe well, as well as a few odd bits that are too floppy and sloppy. Two pairs are a little faded but still decent and comfortable - so I'll keep an eye out for suitable replacements, but no rush on this. Plenty for two laundry cycles.

Socks - All good. I'm good at getting rid and re-stocking socks for some reason. I rarely wear stockings, but may add a sheer black pair of hose as a 'just in case' item. Got rid of some old leggings that never really very well. Plenty for two laundry cycles.

Underthings - Cleared out a few bits that were uncomfortable. A few things are in decent shape but starting to fade, so I'll keep a close eye on them as they are laundered, and replace as needed. Plenty for two laundry cycles.

Mission accomplished! Happy Friday all! xx
