I'm glad you chimed in, rabbit. Your amazing data set was part of what made me go back and look at mine.

Caro, I find the least worn statistics a bit less interesting, mostly because I'm still adding wardrobe items like layering tanks and t-shirts to the tracker, so my "least worn" mostly shows those, even though I know they've been worn a zillion times over the course of years.

Suz, the visual aspect of the app tracking is pretty helpful. I don't find it super-useful for putting outfits together, but even just looking at these images of my most-worn items gives me an image of what my style looks like in real life. I'll admit, though, the initial photographing and data entry is a big job.

I need to try one of these apps. I tracked with paper and pencil and it was helpful and non-threatening to this technophobe. But I know I'd get even more from it if I could figure out which of these apps would be most useful and least work for me.

I agree that specs, signature jewellery, footwear, belts, and in some cases bags and favourite jeans are the major workhorses. I also wear my coats and scarves a lot and across many years. Shirts get a lot fewer wears because we tend to have more of them and want to rotate them more both for variety and due to laundry needs.

Tracking is so interesting isn't it? I use Stylebook & it gives me most worn & least worn too which is also helpful :)

Isn't it interesting when you look at the data? There are definitely favorite items I have that don't get worn at the all-star level (because they require a non rainy day or something) but a lot of my all-stars are the same as yours -- sunglasses, belt, shoes, bags -- very few shirts.

My all stars for 2015 full year were:

100 and above wears - favorite black leather belt, black leather fashion backpack.

50 and above wears - black and white patent oxfords, white jeans, white crossbody bag with black hardware, blush sunglasses

25 and above wears - shoes: black combat booties, navy oxfords, pointy-toed ankle band black pumps, black pointy-toed zip on booties.

tops: white camisole, red merino sweater.

pants: girlfriend medium-wash denim jeans, black jeggings, black tight capri length shorts.

accessories: black Fossil saddlebag, navy clutch, white canvas belt, mirror sunglasses.

coats/jackets: black leather jacket, white linen blazer, blush moto jacket, red trench coat, blue/leopard wool coat.

I use the Closetspace app/website to track wears, and one of the really interesting things it can do is to organize your items by the number of times they've been worn.

I started tracking in July 2015, but my numbers are off quite a bit for the winter, as I didn't track, except for a few days here and there, through much of December and January. These pictures really most accurately represent the things I wore most this past Autumn. Still, I found it enlightening to see my true "all-stars" since I started keeping track.

Pic 1: The true workhorses: Burberry specs and my favorite necklace.
Pic 2: Twenty-five or more wears includes two pairs of shoes, a leather bag, dark wash skinny jeans, the magic hat, and another two pieces of jewelry
Pic 3: Ten or more wears starts to bring in more bottoms, toppers, and even more shoes, including the winter ones that probably would go into higher categories if I'd tracked more in the coldest months.

This tells me it definitely is worth it to spend a little more on specs, shoes, signature jewelry, and handbags!
