Funny that I don't see the landscape as bleak or cold; to me those low-light pictures with all the silvery greys, whites, and blues have a magical moodiness which is the essence of a Northern winter. There are chunks of frozen ice piled up and the mountains were out. We all had fun! The boy is a red speck in the distance. </p>
