Maybe the reason I thought Wacoal ran big is because most of my other bras are from Natori.

I agree with Janet and Cindy. Wacoal is pretty true to size, particularly for band measurement. (Don't do that "add 2 or 4 inch" nonsense.)

I use the measuring instructions from reddit's "a bra that fits" forum (link: https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraT.....ners_guide) and find it works really really well. I live in a very rural area, which left me with a drive of an hour or so to get to good bra shopping, so online has been a but of a lifesaver for me even before covid-19. According to "a bra that fits" forum, a 34DDD would have the sister size of 36DD (sister sizes go up a band size, down a cup size). I measured as a 34E (34DD) and find that a 36D is just more comfortable, and find some activities, a 38C is most comfortable, especially sports bras that tend to offer compression.

As for wacoal, I find that they run TTS with my size according to what I measured using "a bra that fits" instructions. Their b.tempt'd line also generally runs pretty TTS. I also concur with others who say Natori runs small, for me they ran VERY small.

Good luck finding a bra that fits comfortably, it can be challenging under the best of circumstances; our current circumstances are anything BUT the best.

I like Wacoal bras, at least some of them. I wear a 30D in their bras, and a 30DD in Natori. Natori cups are notoriously small.

Wacoal is one of my go-to brands, and I don't know how on earth their sizing would translate into a 36D based on the measurements you mention. I find the band size pretty close to true (I measure 31" around at the band and wear a 32 band size in underwire and a 30 in wireless). I don't know my measurement around the bustline at the moment, but I don't think their cups run large as Gigi has experienced (I usually wear a 32G so maybe smaller cup sizes are different).

I wear the same size in Wacoal as I do in many other brands (Fantasie, sports bras from Panache, etc), so I don't think their sizing is unusual. But I think the customer service resources at one of those online shops could probably help with specific measurements.

I don't have a lot of experience with Wacoal, but the one bra I have from them ran big in the cups (I could have ordered a cup size down). I would definitely try customer service from where you order.

My measurements are 30/37-38. The fit calculator on the wacoal website says 34D.
I usually wear a 34DD for wacoal... although I think maybe they are right and I'm experiencing a little shrinkage! I am almost always a 34, but I do find wacoal bands slightly tight-fitting- depending on the style (I ordered 2 this summer and one fit great as 34DD and for the other I wish I had ordered 36D or even C).
I think the cups may be a little more generous in sizing compared to other brands. I need a 34DDD in some natori styles (I also got a new Natori bra this summer and needed a 34DDD, but reviews for that said the cups ran small so I guess that makes sense).
Good luck! I clearly just updated all of my bras this summer- I found it helpful to order a bunch all at once, compare, and the return the rest. Once I've road tested them all for a couple of months I may double up on the true winners.
Hope that helps!
Julie

There are online bra retailers.
Their customer service by phone or online should be excellent.

I am struggling, as I need new underthings, but dressing rooms are closed. Additionally, If I want anything that Kohl's doesn't carry, I need to shop online because the only good department stores in my area have closed.

I have lost weight recently, which seems to have affected my band size, but not the cup size. So my measurements are 33 and 40. On every other bra calculator, that puts me in a 34 DDD or so. That is mind-blowing, as I am really not that big in the bust. However, on Wacoal's calculator, I am a 36 D. This makes no sense to me.

So I am asking those of you who wear Wacoal how their sizing runs. Is it really THAT different from every other calculator? Alternatively, for those of you in a similar size ballpark, what brands do you find work well? I prefer only 2 hooks in back as opposed to three, if that matters.
