My mother had one in hunter green and she got me one (no liner) in navy. Mine had embroidery on it. The embroidery was a snow scene with kids throwing snowballs or something like that. I still have it. </p> <p>Anyway, I have strong, warm, nostalgic feelings about these coats. I also prefer it without the blue liner, but it's a lot easier to clean the liner than the jacket. I remember when mom got this coast and I remember her wearing. It's too heavy for her now (both weight and temperature), and she hasn't worn it in years. So, I asked if I could have it.</p> <p>It's from Kerr's Furs and is fantastic in this -30 *C weather we're having right now. The blue liner comes off, and it's a lovely grey wool underneath. I remember these being called "Churchill parkas", but I have no idea if that's their actual name. </p> <p>It's incredibly, fantastically warm and I appreciate it very much. </p>
