It freshens things up, takes out the wrinkles and makes them smell nice. It's not like a real sudsy water wash, but my work clothes don't normally get so dirty that they need that kind of cleaning. </p> <p>I feel safer with dryel for some things. It might be a good solution for a delicate fabric like this if you don't want to dry clean it. The edges on all the tiers are unfinished so there is a tiny bit of curling up of some of the ends but that doesn't really bother me much. I haven't had any pilling at all or bits of fabric coming off the edges. I haven't washed it yet so I think that will be the "kicker" - I plan on washing it insideout in cold on delicate and than laying flat to dry. I do love it though and think I might pop for the sleevless one for summer - I like that it's the black with white (the long sleeve is white with black).
