So I figured these might not work. Later this evening, I tried on the 11s with padded boot socks, and I'm pretty well convinced that this is the correct size, even though they are a bit long. If I used my shearling inserts, they would probably be perfect. To wear them in summer with just low cut socks, I would likely need to double up on inserts and tighten the laces. I often have to make these kinds of adjustments with boots because of my narrow, low volume feet. Unless the 10s are spot on, which I doubt, the 11s will stay with me. Which translates to a 42. I have these on order but suspect they will be too small. Oh well, they were a little more than I wanted to spend so if they don’t work the budget is in better shape. I also ordered the Marc Fisher boots in brown, which fit well and I really like. I love them, and they are so cute on. I am amazed by how light they are.</p> <p>Now for sizing. Per the reviews, which rated them both small and narrow, I sized up. The Vicar's only come in full sizes, which is a disappointment, since going up a full size in shoes is rarely a win for me. I did not find the Vicars to run either small or narrow. I'll need inserts to take up some room. However, the 11s are a nice fit around the leg, and fit well around the heel, so I think 11 is likely the correct size. In the interests of research, I just reordered in a size 10, so I can compare the two. I will certainly keep one of the two pairs. </p>
