i too like to go barefoot a lot but i struggle to integrate it with a more classic dressing style without looking like i just forgot to finish getting dressed. i appreciate everyone's thoughts though and am glad it is sandal season here!

Yup, I go barefoot as much as possible. I always run barefoot (alway have done). When I have to wear footware (eg. to/from work) I only wear sandlals.

I wear Mary Janes similar to the Kalies and even use them as my "gym" shoes for exercise. I like a nude or silver color in these best but have some in black that i can wear with socks in winter. I have Merrell tennies and sandals and highly recommend the brand, but be sure to try them on before buying. I had to size down. They give great support without being heavy looking.

I have the five finger classics in plain black. They have a low vamp and are very simple. I love them and use them in any outfit where I would normally wear black ballet flats. Angie always tells us to have fun with fashion! Wear what you love, you will meet many kind and curious people who will ask you about your shoes :D
Much love, good luck in your search!

I personally wouldn't recommend moccasin boots for winter without some sort of rubber sole. Minnetonka makes a lot of great moccasin boots with a thin bit of light padding (think 1/8-1/16 inch thick, consistent height foam) and a thin rubber sole for traction. The traction is really important, because a leather sole that gets wet or just polished from wear is super slippery, especially on interior floors, ice, ect. Moccasins are meant to be worn outdoors, on grass, dirt, ect.

I'm sorry, I see the word "Vibram" and "five fingers" and I picture a sex aid. And my brain just stops.

So I'll admit it, I love the freakish looking 5 finger-toe shoes (for gear only mind you!) But, now my feet are soooo enthralled with being free and feeling the ground few of my other shoes are working since my feet are getting wider (or just less like being squashed?) and my arches growing higher. Any other ladies out there who are going the barefoot/minimalist (as opposed to minimalist in term of cleaner less accessories looks) shoes route have any good looking solutions?

I have some Vivobarefoot Neo sneakers I wear as fashion tennies:
http://www.zappos.com/vivobare.....hite-green

And some Vivobarefoot Kali Mary Janes
http://www.zappos.com/vivobarefoot-kali-dark-brown

Both feel a little too casual for the smart casual look i try for, i have two pair of ballet flats I like alright (feel a bit narrow and the last a bit stiff--no ground feel you know). My black boots have a 1" heel and lately that just seems to throw off my stride and make my knees hurt.

I am thinking of getting a pair of these mocassin boots made to be a winter jeans etc shoe:
http://www.arrowmoc.com/1wh.html

Anyone have the Soft Soles Mary Janes? I cant tell from their website if they would be cute enough (i am thinking the platinum leather with the sunrise flower cutout) to consider? There just seems to be a lot of leather on them like the toe box is really tall up the foot and across the instep looks heavy to my eye.

Merrell look like they have lots of spring options added to their barefoot line. Anyone have experience here?

I ordered some Jambu's but sent them back because the heel was noticeably taller than the forefoot.

Love to hear if anyone has any great finds in the "cute barefoot shoe" search?
