I like a nude or silver color in these best but have some in black that i can wear with socks in winter. I have Merrell tennies and sandals and highly recommend the brand, but be sure to try them on before buying. I had to size down. Minnetonka makes a lot of great moccasin boots with a thin bit of light padding (think 1/8-1/16 inch thick, consistent height foam) and a thin rubber sole for traction. The traction is really important, because a leather sole that gets wet or just polished from wear is super slippery, especially on interior floors, ice, ect.
