This is because the shirt tail isn't even all around. FTR, I disagree with the "belt everything" doctrine. I think belts are definitely a a trend and they can be overdone. Sometimes a more relaxed look is nice, but if your eye has adjusted to seeing "BELT BELT BELT BELT BELT" it might take some recalibrating. I know you tiny-waisted people are always seeking to show off your tiny waists, but it's still clear that your waist is small even if it's not as obvious.
