I think it's very cute, and looks quite cozy and comfy yet polished, though I do see what you mean about the back. This is because the shirt tail isn't even all around. Interesting, I wore a similar-cut shirt yesterday (NL blouse), and I really liked how the shirt tail curves looked with skinnies, though I can't quite put it into words why.

I don't think it needs a belt but if the tail in the back thing is bugging you, try a shirt with an even hem all around, or try a layering piece that is shorter - so some of the shirt on the sides shows - then I suspect it'll be problem solved.

Love the neutrals in this ensemble.

Thanks for your feedback.
I did wear something similar to this outfit before and found myself thinking at the time that I had toilet paper hanging off on me after leaving the ladies room. I felt self conscious ,but then I use to feel self conscious about skinnies and I love them now.

I was expecting the belt police so it was nice to hear that you all
feel the boxy look is not dead.
Good point Tanya, about the skinnies balancing it a bit.

I am a little tired of tethering myself around the waist too much.
I know I could tuck the shirt in.. I just like the nochalance
vibe of this look.
It is a bit ‘Tally ho’ -like Tarzy mentioned in her earlier post (too funny) but I'm o.k. with that.

I also wouldn't have noticed the diaper thing if you hadn't framed it as such. FTR, I disagree with the "belt everything" doctrine. I think belts are definitely a a trend and they can be overdone. Sometimes a more relaxed look is nice, but if your eye has adjusted to seeing "BELT BELT BELT BELT BELT" it might take some recalibrating. I know you tiny-waisted people are always seeking to show off your tiny waists, but it's still clear that your waist is small even if it's not as obvious. Sometimes it's more fun to whisper than scream!

I actually like the way it looks. You are too funny though. I sometimes like to wear a looser top with skinnies, it's a nice balancing effect.

You're hilarious! What a funny post.
I agree, now that you mention it, but never would have thought about a diaper if you had not said it.
The sweater does look a bit boxy, BUT, boxy is not as bad as it's cracked up to be. I do think that there is such a thing as over belting.

Hi

I like this vest without a belt. I don't know why.I know everything looks better with a belt, especially with an hourglass figure like mine.

http://i391.photobucket.com/al.....n/0012.jpg

But I am trying this out. It is for a horsy mood day, whatever that is...like,Ralph goes to the Pub.

I am just about to go on vacation and I think this outfit may be clearly showing my need to get away and do it, soon!!?

I think if I were to belt this,I would use a mans tie ...something with school stripes? Not a leather belt...

Either way, with or without it belted, my question is about the length of the shirt.
I think it looks fine in the front, but I think I am hitting diaper land in the back? I think even belting it would create the same white smile in the back?

http://i391.photobucket.com/al.....n/0023.jpg
