I think there's a lot more leeway with vests than jackets as far as those lengths go. If you look at the examples in Angie's post a day earlier, the lengths are all over (both the tops and the vests themselves). It seems somewhat akin to a jacket, but because the vest has no sleeves the visual effect is probably a bit different. What are the best proportions for the underlayer? I love a cropped vest over a long top, but not sure how to negotiate the right look (not that I have such a vest at the moment!)... </p>
