<p>Thank you all!! You provided me so much good feedback! VERy appreciative for the votes and comments you all left!</p>
<div><br /></div><div>I was feeling very drawn to #7 and #88 myself, and secretly wanted to knit &nbsp;#10-11. (Same vest, but different colors and model.) There is something so fun about 10/11's collar and cabling -- it's lush and dramatic. It also feels a bit dated yet fresh again, thanks to the 80s and 90s having their sartorial hey-day once again. I may even knit both styles, after I have a dive in my yarn stash. Will post some updates if and when I knit it all up. I still love #12, but realized I want it as a full sweater, I think. More to come.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Staysfit</b>, hello, fellow knit friend! :] It's so nice to have another knitter to chat with. I love the vest you knit!! And the yarn sounds sumptuous. I haven't used anything from Blue Skies before, so keeping it on my radar. I actually am very drawn to the styles you listed. The Corduroy Slipover is one that has been tempting me, even though I would have to belt the heck out of it. Like you said, opposite body shapes. I'm eager to see what you knit.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Janet</b>, that's actually a fair point about #9 being knit more drapey and wearing it that way. I'm going to keep it in mind. I haven't totally given up on that vest design. Just not feeling 100% settled on it either.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Roberta</b>, I think you finally put to words why I have struggled to knit #4. I am not visually busty per se. Despite being a 38D at the moment, I feel my bust is still rather in proportion or reads smaller than others at my height with more bust. Nonetheless, if I get too much bulk in the bust area, it can make me look really blocky. I used to wear scarves draped the same way as the vest you showed, and it just made me look thick and blocky no matter my weight and size. (SADLY, as I love the shape.) Thank you for pointing that out. It makes me feel better about my instincts!</div><div><br /></div><div><b>The Cat</b>, I actually have a lot of thin, chiffon styles blouses that #10/11 would work well with! So thank you for mentioning that. I am kind of wondering if #7-8 would work better with the clothing items I featured in photos... but will feel it out and see. :D&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div></p>

<p>LOVE 10 and 11. Don't know how well their would pair with your items in #1-3. But they would be great over items like white blouses, thin turtleneck pullovers and long-sleeved tees.

<p>I love the fitted waist one for you, but what I’m thinking about is necklines. I feel top #1 is tricky. It might be best with a high necked vest, but also might be awkward with just the little bit of collar it has.

<p>I really love #12 - its simplicity and deep neckline would really show off a pretty blouse. I own a version of #4 (but quite a bit longer) and it is very versatile on a busty frame (38g here) because you can adjust the neckline to be a collar or a capelet. But if all the weight of the knit sits at the bustline that is a no go. I am a bit leery of heavy cables for the same reason.</p>
<p>What an amazing talent you have, to make these things yourself!

<p>I love 10-11 for you. I think they would provide versatility and fit your vibe well! I'm drawn to the style of 9, but it may not be the easiest style with curves -- however, if it's made to fit a bit on the oversized side in a knit that isn't bulky and a bit drapey, it could be really lovely. I'm always very aware of how knits fit on a big bust for personal preference reasons!

<p>I am personally drawn to 9 for myself but 7 or 11 for you. &nbsp;They would be fun to knit, some cable and pattern, etc. &nbsp;Nice waist definition, etc. &nbsp;I also like the lacy collar of pattern 4, but am not as fond of its shape. &nbsp; I recently finished knitting the Helle slipover. &nbsp;The yarn I used was Blue Sky Suri Merino which is deliciously soft and wonderful. &nbsp;I have two slipover/vest patterns in mind for future projects but my frame is rectangular and I do not suit the same styles as you. &nbsp;I have my eye on a pattern called the Maple Vest (Ravelry), and I also have yarn for a Corduroy Slipover (Urth Yarn, Ravlery) which I plan to work on soon. &nbsp;I have two projects on my needles that I want to finish first. &nbsp;My problem at present is too many projects in the que! &nbsp;</p>
<p>I am adding a picture of my finished Helle Slipover. I like the open sides. It's been perfect for transitional weather in Central NY.

<p>Cardiff girl, those are the ones I'm really feeling drawn to as well! I'm especially loving the green version, though little worried about the bust pleats. Will everything lay nice and play nice? (meaning, once in a dress, will my boobs hit the proper place.) I will be taking a ton of measurements and trying on as I go. But sometimes you don't know until it gets knit up. Thanks for the votes and help :D&nbsp;

<p>So, <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wib-city-chic-haul">in my last post,</a> I mentioned knitting a vest -- or waistcoat, for the UK, AUS, and NZ Fabbers.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
<div><br /></div><div>What do you all think of these choices? I would love your votes and feedback. I am thinking of pairing the vest with two blouses and the dress. Also, I have 2-3 ivory/cream blouses with fuller sleeves and romantic fabrics like chiffon and subtle jacquard, as well as a dark print dress with gathered sleeves.</div><div><br /></div><div>Vest color is yet to be determined; thinking camel or chocolate, but haven't decided fully. Might even try a pine green.</div><div><br /></div><div><u>**Some of these vests will need modifications to accommodate my shape, so don't take photos at face value until you read mods I would make to the item.&nbsp;</u></div><div><br /></div><div>Photos:&nbsp;</div><div>1-3, me and outfits I wish to add vest to.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>4-5 Balboa, grey and chocolate vest.&nbsp;</div><div>Shawl collared and kind of drapey. I almost worry it's too romantic?? But I love the shape and overall vibe a lot.&nbsp;</div><div><br />6 Gan, green vest.</div><div>I would add waist shaping to this!! It needs it. So, no it wouldn't be this boxy thing as modeled.&nbsp;</p>
<p>7 Washington, orange vest.</p>
<p>
</div><div>I love the deep, open v-neck and slight peplum effect of it. Not sure about the wide "Cumberband" at the middle though?&nbsp;</p>

</div><div>8 Tahki, green vest.&nbsp;</div><div>Pretty much a copy of orange vest. It just has some pleating and a more obvious peplum at the bottom. Also love this.</div><div><br />9 Harding, gold lace vest</div><div>This is actually a straight to subtle A-line shaped vest. I'm uncertain on the shape. It would likely need waist shaping inserted. I have loved this vest for along time but now that it's time to actually knit it for myself, I'm doubting the lines for my hourglass body shape.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>10-11 Norah, cabled shawl collar vest<br />Victorian drama to the hilt! It's a 90s design but I LOOOVE the drama. It's knit with a thicker yarn, but I feel confident I could tinker with it to make it a less bulky knit. (A heavier, thicker yarn would add some visual bulk I don't need.)</div><div><br /></div><div>12. Paisley, deep cowl neck vest.</div><div>I will leave off sleeves and just knit as a vest.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>What do you all think?&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>
