Asha, I think I missed this post earlier. Wow, so many great looks, I don't know where to start! Love the dress + leggings on you - definitely repeat. BTW, I am a sucker for a dress with pockets. I also think the belted cardi, jeans and cami is fantastic. Oh and the dressy outfit - totally killer. You look like one hot number in that one (I'm sure it's nice to feel that way even after giving birth to two children!). I agree with some of the others about the v-necks - maybe belting will help? I also do not like the shrug. As someone with a large bust myself, I find that they actually emphasize the bust because you're eye is drawn to where it ends. I find a cropped cardi that ends a few inches lower is much more flattering. Very cool purse collection - especially like the zebra!

Asha, welcome!

You look fantastic, and your outfits are beautiful! I also love the one with the white pencil skirt best. White is stunning on you!

I personally don't like shrugs in general, and especially combined with a larger bust - somehow it seems to me that the shrug emphasizes the bust too much? But it might be just my personal preference.

Great layering, btw! Very inspiring!

Hi Asha, and a warm welcome to the forum! I am so sorry I am late posting here, life is hectic these days.

You look absolutely amazing! You have a gorgeous figure and a great sense of style. The outfits are all beautiful. I find the one with the white pencil skirt absolutely stunning. I am looking forward to more photos.

Asha - you look stunning!! I especially love the outfit with the pencil skirt (you have gorgeous legs & wear this look very well)! The belted cardi is also a favorite - great look! You have some really nice bags as well.

I would probably do some type of a necklace with a pendant on both of those outfits. Something a little dressier with the pencil skirt - nice silver or even oxydized. On the belted cardi outfit, I would probably do a more casual pendant on a leather (not too short though & not too long - accent in the middle not at the chest or neck if that makes sense). The pendants & leathers are fun cause then you can start mixing up different looks as you get more pendants & different necklaces. For bracelets - I would probably do a fun bangle. I don't wear them a lot myself, unless it's a quiet one (wood or maybe layer a noisy silver one between another one that buffers the sound so it's no clanging). I don't like to be distractive with noise like that at work most days though. Going out is differnt, I don't mind a little jingle then! :)

Can't wait to see more photo's, it really helps immensely to see visuals of everyone. Helps to spark the creativity I think!

Yay, congrats on posting your first set of outfit photos. My favourites are the first 3 looks. I love leggings and yours look great on you. and I clearly need to post some pics of myself in them because I swear I do wear them all the time, Angie! It's not really warm enough to wear them in this way yet, though. One Q--are yours shiny? I bet you'd like them even more in a matte fabrication.

I like the white shirt and the clamdiggers but paired, they're not my favourite--I think it's the straight hem on the white shirt. A curved or a shirttail hem would look great, as would a slightly longer top or tunic.

Outfits 4 and 6 are my least favourites--I felt the same way as Kristen. I'm personally not a fan of shrugs, either. They always look funny and disproportionate to me.

You have great shoes and bags too.

You look amazing. It is really hard to pick a favorite. I think you should get comfortable with white, because it looks great on you. The white top fits to perfection and no you do not look bigger at all. Actually, to me, you look slimmer in this top than the blue one (not that you look too big in that one either though!). I love the way you paired the V-neck blue top with the higher neckline top underneath, and then with the shrug. The colors together are great.

Okay - (and Angie's going to love this): I am truly inspired by the shirt dress with leggings!!! I have not caught on to the shirt dress over jeans thing for myself. I try it, and it just looks out of proportion for me somehow. But, seeing it paired with the leggings as you've done here - DING DING DING goes the lightbulb in my head! Now, that could work for me... I may have to give this one a try myself!

Looking forward to your future outfits.

Aha! I just had a revelation (due to your comment Kristen - so thanks!) The v-necks are pretty thin knits. I think I need to try them on again - after getting back to the states and buying a bra that first perfectly. The one I have on is just too big in the band, and the cups are not as supportive as they once were. Then I'll post pics again and see if they should be tossed or not. I'll just layer over them for now.

Asha, I love your style! That white skirt and green heels is FAB. I really love the way you look in the button-downs and capris, and belts and cardis, and the leggings look is adorable! I am less enamored of the v-neck shirts; something about their length emphasizes your hips and drags your chest down. (I know how that looks because it happens to me as well.)

Good for you for posting! You should definitely wear these outfits outside for the world to enjoy!

Thanks ladies! I am definitely going to put together some more outfits with the leggings, I am so glad they work.
Antje, I agree with you. I have that exact v-neck in navy and I feel much thinner in it. I got the turquoise because I love the color, but it doesn't flatter as much. I need a cami underneath, because the V shows too much cleavage. I'll need to experiment with it some more.
I went out and bought a new belt today! I think I've found the right belt width for me, and I want to stock up now.
Thanks again, I love to hear everyone's honest opinions and great advice.

Thanks for posting, Asha! You look fabulous. Deliciously curvy and you have great color combos. I love LOVE the first outfit with the shirt dress and the leggings. Belting is another great look. I like all of your outfits, with one exception and that's the turquoise v-neck tee. While I love the color, it makes you look heavy which the other outfits don't. So maybe it's just that some layer is missing, or maybe it's the straight neckline layered under it, or I'm not sure quite what it is, but it's the one outfit I don't find so flattering on you. Everything else rocks!!!

Asha, not sure if this would work for cleaning the white bag, but I actually buy leather cleaning wipes to clean the leather in my car. They do a good job of cleaning the dirt. Not sure if you are able to get your hands on something like that, but that's what I would try and use for a bag like that.

Thanks for all your replies! You ladies are so kind. I'm blushing!

Kari, the pants are a local store. There are actually a lot of American brands here, but on principle, I do my best to shop at Filipino stores while I'm here. It's a bit tricky with sizing though - and if I was any taller, pants would never be long enough! I'll have to save buying pants for heels until I am back.

Violet, the white bag is faux leather.

Asha, you look great! I'm glad you're posting your outfits. My favorite is the dressy outfit with the white pencil skirt. You look fantastic! My other favorite is the white shirt and clamdiggers.

A few other notes:

- I like the wide belt with the cardi.

- Do you have other jeans you will be wearing with heels? If so, then I would say get those hemmed just a tad to wear with flats.

- V-neck styles are great for your figure since you have a fuller bust. I think the YLF rule is that polo or collared shirts are only for younger gals.

- You do a great job of wearing colors. Bright colors look great against your skin color.

- Love all your bags! What type of material is the white bag?

I look forward to seeing more of your outfits! You are definitely a very stylish mom on the go.

Asha, how fun to see your pretty, pulled-together outfits. Thanks for sharing! I don't think that white is too attention-grabbing at all! If anything, it looks amazing against your skin. I especially love the outfit with the pencil skirt (SUCH a cute look, and the green shoes are awesome) and you really wear a belt well.

Where did you find such cute microcheck pants? Was this somewhere local to the Philippines, or were they from a store available in the US as well?

You look fabulous! My favorite outfits are the one with the white skirt and the clamdiggers. Enhances all the right curves and make you look very classy while still looking hot! You've inspired me to go try a white skirt, since I have the same exact concerns as you do with white bottoms. I have an hour glass figure too (I think) but with a wider and flatter butt and a languishing pair of beautiful satin lined white cropped pants in my closet.

The beige shirt dress with leggings is a super look for you. Yes, do get more!
The white skirt with kelly green heels: WOW!
You look great in belts too, and I love the yellow-green combo with the dark jeans (other ladies will know more about whether to hem them or not).

Bright colours really work for you as well, and the microcheck pants are fun!

I absolutely love the white shirt with the lavender cami (cute shoes too). It's such a crisp look.

The colours of the shrug outfit are beautiful as well, and I think it works, maybe you could post a full body picture so we can see the proportions better?

I hope we get to see many more pictures of you!

Asha, I really shouldn't be awake right now so I will save a detailed reply for tomorrow, but WOW you look so amazing! My favorite is the white pencil skirt, black top, and green wedges. You look SO classy and hot hot hot! I would not worry one bit about the white saying "look here." You look very balanced and hourglassy, and white looks fantastic against your dark skin.

I also love how you wear the white buttondown. We have the same bust and waist measurements (though sadly I have a pooch to contend with) so it's so nice to have you here for me to copy ideas from I actually think I prefer the shirt over a cami because it adds some more interest.

I hope you'll continue posting outfits. I'm already feeling inspired

Technically, I haven't worn these outfits yet (outside of this little photo shoot, anyway). I'm trying to put together a spring/summer wardrobe and take advantage of amazing prices before we get back to the US.
These outfits are devoid of jewelery because I'm still working on getting some pieces to refresh my collection. For the last couple of years, I've worn only earrings, but I miss necklaces and bracelets. Any jewelry suggestions are welcome.
Album link: http://s557.photobucket.com/al.....1%20April/

Mom-on-the-go #1 - my first attempt at leggings!
http://i557.photobucket.com/al.....G_2616.jpg
I'm really interested to hear about this one. I love the idea of leggings, because I love skirts, especially in hotter weather. However, my children are young, and I get on the floor, sit in strange positions, etc. and I feel like I can't maintain modesty in a skirt most days because of that. This is an outfit I'd love to wear on an "active" day with my kids, but I'm not sure if it works. I love that the dress has pockets. If I can pull this off, I plan to get at least one more dress I can wear this way, and mix it up with different camis and flats. It's so comfortable!

Mom-on-the-go #2
http://i557.photobucket.com/al.....G_2632.jpg
Should I get these jeans hemmed slightly to wear with flats? Or are they ok as is? I haven't done a belt over cardi in a long time. I used do it with thinner belts, but now that my chest is..ahem..more substantial, I think I need a thicker belt like this one. How does it look?

Mom-on-the-go #3
http://i557.photobucket.com/al.....G_2633.jpg
I love jeans but I get bored with them and thought I'd try microchecks. This would be for super casual days running around with the kids. I'd wear them with cons (which I don't have in hand yet). Is it too young of a look since it's just a V-neck tee?

Mom-on-the-go #4
http://i557.photobucket.com/al.....G_2637.jpg
Until I can afford a white button down from a place that sells by bra size, I think this one will work. What do you think? Although white is one of my favorite colors, I rarely wear it because I often feel it makes me look bigger. Maybe it's the stripey pattern that makes me feel comfortable in it. It's nice and light weight too.

Dressy look
http://i557.photobucket.com/al.....G_2618.jpg
This is a date/church/meeting/out with friends look. Again, I usually avoid white because I feel like it says HEY LOOK OVER HERE, but since I love white (especially every time I see it on someone with dark skin), I thought it was time to push myself outside of my box.

http://i557.photobucket.com/al.....G_2640.jpg
Ok I definitely need some opinions on this one. The blue v-neck has cap sleeves and I am not a big fan of those on me, so I added the shrug. I love these 3 colors together. But is there too much color blocking? How does the shrug look?

Summer bags:
http://i557.photobucket.com/al.....G_2648.jpg
I use the zebra bag as a diaper bag - times when we'll be away from home for a few hours and need "supplies." I can't stand traditional diaper bags and will never use one. I'll use the white and yellow bags depending on the outfits. Any tips on keeping white bags clean?
I really appreciate any feedback. Don't hold back! I'll be posting a lot (if that's ok!) over the next 3-4 weeks while I put together a wardrobe before we head back to the US, and I'd love to hear your opinions. Thanks!
