I can't tell how the proportions are w/out a full body shot, but they look good so far. I've found, for myself, that a few inches below the knee is more flattering than all the way up to the knee, anyway.

Yes, yes, yes. Love those boots. The don't have to be exactly knee high.

I think these look great on you. I don't think they are too short, but if you can swing it, I'd look for a taller pair in another color (like black) just for variety. I'll bet if you look around you'll find some great buys on boots right now.

I'm having a hard time telling from one angle, but they don't look too short to my eye. I do prefer my boots about an inch taller. I don't think they have to hit your knee to wear with skinnies. Especially if a boot slouches. I think the slouchy factor leaves room for a shorter height in the boots. I'll be curious what others say.

I am very excited. I just got my Dark brown Veronica Frye boots. They are a little narrow on me, but I'm pretty sure it's the right size and they will stretch some since they are leather. But, they don't come up to my knees. I am 5'7" tall and they end several inches below my the bottom of my knees...fully extended (they can slouch too).
http://www.flickr.com/photos/5.....313707860/

I need a boot to wear over skinnies and possibly with skirts and dresses. This would be my only pair of tall boots,at least for now, so I need to get it right.

Do these work or should I look at something taller like the Paige riding boot?
