I think the vents should like pretty flat. Pretty blue!

It totally reminds me from the front only of Bill Cunningham's French blue worker's jacket.

Flat, hopefully. I would think anything sticking out too far would indicate poor fit. I LOVE your blue coat and the button and tab would make me rest easy on this one!

I like when they lay flat. If not, they stick out rather funky and make my profile weird. I do have a jacket with a big flat snap under there to keep it in order, but can unsnap when needed. (When would THAT be?) And no belt probably helps it to stay near the torso of the coat.

I also like that your blue coat has the button tab on the back pleat to keep it from inverting itself.

Gorgeous coat - would love to see it on you!

I think they should lay flat. FWIW, I personally hate them on myself because I am swaybacked with rounded shoulders so they always seem to stick out funny and make me look like Quasimodo. =P

I get why these exist, but they make me twitchy. How are they supposed to fall, especially on jackets without belts? Is it supposed to sortof stand out from the back, or is it supposed to lay flat?

This fine rag & bone item is in my closet, because I loooooove the blue. How is it *supposed* to fit?
