There's too much crap on your plate to handle simultaneously. Deadline first. Set everything else aside and get that done first. Next, go pack for your trip. Then you're done for the day. While travelling tomorrow, come up with&nbsp;three things you can do to help temporarily relieve some of the burden from your caregiver sister. (Laundry, cooking, grocery shopping, running errands, taking your ill sister out for the day, etc).&nbsp;While you're at it, come up with 2-3 things your ill sister enjoys when she's feeling brighter. Maybe she needs a hair color refresher as well...you two could color each other's hair while you're there. Your visit to her is important, but so very tough at the same time.&nbsp;Be kind to yourself for the next few days. Be sure to get in plenty of rest and some not-so-serious diversions (if at all possible). Also -- good luck on your deadline… try not to sweat that too much. She attempted suicide in December; right now she is probably too angry to be suicidal but she is still very bleak and low. (She's in therapy, is medicated, and is living with another sister who is a nurse, so she is is good hands, but I am dreading this visit as I know it will be very tough. She's one of my closest friends and I've been talking to her daily, and the discussions are extremely difficult.)</p> <p>Just having a hard time mustering the energy to deal with any of this right now.</p> <p> </p>
