I like the guitar strap on the bag a lot, the white in the pattern is a nice contrast with dark winter clothing.</p> <p>I like the turtleneck less underneath the henley but I do think the vest/cape and skirt work nicely together. I could’ve popped the vest over, but temps were in the mid-60s! The original green strap that came with the purse was only long enough to carry it as a tote, not cross-body. I recently found some leather in the right green and took it to a leather-worker to have a new strap made. At the price of €150 I think I can keep the old one a bit longer! </p> <p>RL, Bijoux and Nemo, I have worn this skirt with my gold ankle boots, but I’ve worn them a lot lately so my feet wanted something different. As I contemplated putting it on this morning, I realized that it is a good marker for how I want clothes I’m buying to feel. Wearing it is an event—a fun one. Maybe that’s a bit how Angie feels walking into her closet every morning—when I read that blog post I couldn’t relate, but if I think of having a closet full of things that are as “me”, I can. I wasn’t planning on getting any clothing the day I bought it, but there it was! I wore it with a cord skirt and my wool vest that’s so drapey it’s almost a cape to start Christmas shopping today (Don’t judge—I got Advent calendars that might be in transit for a month). What do you think? Honest opinions please—I recall there was some skepticism about those items together when I first got the cape/vest. Because I didn’t get a really great shot, I’m posting several soso ones.</p> <p>Outfit 2 was worn running some errands and looking at bikes with my son. You know how, in those little videos on sales sites, models sashay out &amp; then turn this way and that, looking oh so attractive &amp; showing the outfit‘s best features? I clearly don’t know how they do it. At least I had my kid use flash so you can tell the black velvet from the blue jeans. </p>
