I always feel attracted by fabrics (and even people! ) that are pleasant/soft and at the same time have depth. Furthermore, velvet is elegant in addition to being comfortable (in most cases). Perfect combination in my book. :-)</p> <p>Having said that, I reserve most of my velvet items for fall and winter. However, I do wear a lightweight purple lace-like, cut-out top now in spring.
