Adelfa, it shows much less with the striped pattern but horizontal stripes in that skirt are not flattering at all on me
whereas the tiny polka dot pattern looks really pretty. I also tried a black with a wave-like white print but that also shows the hem rolling prominently.

I have a solid black and a black with thin white stripes. I have not even noticed this issue. If it bugs you on the polka dot would you be happy with a different print or solid?

Thanks, Donna and Dianna.
Dianna, it does not have an inner layer, it is just one piece of fabric with its outer surface and its inner surface.
The one layer fabric rolls onto itself.

I have the striped version and the inner layer is maybe 1-2 inches shorter. The outer layer only rolls a teeny bit, not enough to show the inner layer at all. Anyway, what I'd do in your case is probably just cut the inner layer a little shorter. Donna is right, a hem would make it less stretchy and harder to walk in.

FWIW, I've tried both two print versions and a striped knit version. The prints were a slightly different fabrication and they rolled to show the underlayer or SOMETHING that bugged me a bit so I didn't buy either. My striped version is black with white stripes, and the black seems to hide the cut hem. I also had to size up and take in the waist vs. size down per instructions on the Nordies web site.

If your strides might stress the hem, I would be hesitant about hemming.

After seeing people's posts and rave reviews about the VC midis I got a few to try on. My favorite is the black polka dot one but I noticed that all the skirts have a raw edge on the hem and as I walk the hemline rolls over itself on the outside and shows the inner lighter fabric.
Have you noticed that as well? How did you deal with it? Did you hem it on your own or does it not bother you?
I love the skirt but since the hem situation bothers me I may need to move on the the next skirt...
Any thoughts will be appreciated.
