I have a feeling I may have gone from one extreme to another - oh well - I guess it's all about learning, right? </p> <p>BTW: In real life, the colours are more like those featured in the first image of the painting - it's just that I've taken the photo in the late(ish) afternoon and I couldn't for the life of me get the correct exposure - so I gave up. Believe it or not, I'm not actually a person who tends to have a "look at me!" type persona in real life - I'd rather be to the side of the centre front!</p> <p>Still, this latest "endeavour" has made me realise that for my own personal growth and development (and I mean as a person, not just as a wannabe artist), it's a good thing for me to "put myself" out there and try and do things I've never done before - even if it feels terribly uncomfortable or downright scary (as it does right now). </p> <p>And Tara, I have to say how it is so funny how different our perceptions of ourselves ~vs~ that of others can be - I seriously can't believe that someone as clever and as articulate as you could ever have any trepidation seeing your work in print. Wow! </p> <p>Anyway, enough waffling from me.
