Pretty dress but I adore the khakis on you in the one size up. I can't wait to see how you style these.

Sveta, so glad to hear that I wasn't hallucinating about the pocket linings! Why do they do that?!? I have never been able to figure out why the insist on lining light pants and white pants with white fabric. It always shows through. Why not a mocha color? Granted, it would be hard to match a skin tone for everyone, but a mocha works pretty well and frankly, even a bad skin tone match would be an improvement over white, right?

Okay, pocket lining rant over! I'm so glad you are going to be able to make them 100% perfect because they are gorgeous and that color is going to be great fun!

I love the dress, and isn't that great when the universe gives you a little wink like that! So, glad the broken-in khakis worked for you and I vote one size up (smaller pair).

I really like the dress. I'm not crazy about pastel khakis, so I'm withholding judgement on them! (As far as size goes though - I think the smaller ones look best.)

Thank you for your feedback, ladies!
Rae, I appreciate your honesty, thank you.
k, I am going to cut of the pocket lining and sew all of them shut. The fabric of the pants is not see through and quite substantial but white pocket lining shows under the pink fabric. I don't know why wouldn't they use the same color lining on thinner fabric pants...
Nicele, you are right: Winners requires a lot of patience and persistence but sometimes they just pay off big time!
Day Vies, it is a very interesting comment. I always thought that longer torso makes the legs shorter...anyway I decided to stick with a smaller size because I am afraid they can stretch. There is something about the bigger size bothers me, maybe it is not obvious in the pictures but I feel they look a bit sloppy with too much slouch because fabric is very casual..
Wearing them at home for a couple of days to see if they stretch too much.
Love the dress. I have a couple of CK sheaths too. They are so well made I love where they place the seams -- makes a real difference on such a simple dress.

The blush pants are a wonderful twist! I feel like I should kick myself but I can't help it I like the 2 size up pants better. There is something about the slouch that I completely appreciate and how it elongates your torso because they ride lower. It looks flattering to my eye -- somehow the "extra" torso space minimizes the hip.

Now I will exit stage right before the rotten tomatoes start.

Love the dress! It has just enough pizzaz to keep it from being boring. Instead, it is fabulous.

I like the trousers, and definitely vote with the bulk of the others for just 1 size up. The only question I have is about transparency. Are they very thin? I have this thing about pants that are too light weight and show the pocket liners. They just drive me nuts. If they do, I would pass. That doesn't mean you have to, though. ;0)

I really like both the dress and the pants (smaller size).

Re. the graphicness of the dress... you know, on lasses' with very blonde or very black hair, I think the dress would be boring. It would be more of the same. But against your softer colouring, I think it's striking.
Karie, I LOVE online ordering from both BR and Gap! The store in our mal is really small and selection is not great. In addition Tall sizes are available online only.
The shipping is very fast: I placed my order on March 29 and it arrived on April 2 - and this is counting that March 29 - Apr 1 was a long Easter weekend in Canada!
They are also good if you have issues: I have ordered a sweater while thay had 30% off but when it arrived I required a bigger size. I called Gap and even with that sale ended already they send me another size for the sale price.

I was leaning towards a smaler size initially so glad to see I was not off my rocker Somehow too much slouch in this very casual fabrication just does not appeal to me as much as in jeans or dressier fabric. Weird, ah?
Unless Angie pops in to tell me the dress and khakis should go back I am keeping the smaller size and taking the dress to my mom for altering this weekend

Funny how that happens with returns, isn't it?

The dress is gorgeous on you Sveta and I can totally see you styling it to perfection.

I also like the khakis for you and know you will rock these many wonderful ways. As for the sizing, I slightly prefer the larger size but I'm wondering about the "bag out" factor for these. I had a pair of Gap khakis years ago and they bagged quite a bit during the day in the butt. Can you wear both pairs for a bit in the house to see how they hold up?

The dress is a great find Sveta. It hugs the curve of the derriere in a very flattering but not overtly sexy way. The best of both worlds.

I am very tempted by the blush pants too. I prefer the smaller of the two pairs. The larger size looks too loose in the butt area and you still get the relaxed look from the front on the smaller of the sizes. Another best of both worlds - nice looking tush and trendy loose fit on the front.

SCORE.
Love the dress! Absolutely beautiful. And like it better with the nude shoes. You are so lucky to have your own personal seamstress!

I like the pants better with the yellow shoes. As for the fit, I think it should be up to you in terms of comfort. Both sizes work to my eye.
Yes, I know -- it is really the luck of the moment, at Winner's. And I don't get out there enough. But honestly, ours is not a very good one. I am glad I was not crazy in liking this dress from the first sign.
And the best part about khakis - they come in Tall sizes so they are long enough for me for a full length with some ankle slouch.
Suz, I have not seen this dress in the store a week ago. You need to check Winners regularly because they get stuff on the regular basis and good one is gone fast!
I want that dress and love your ideas for styling it. I like the smaller sized blush pants. I'm considering blush a light neutral.

I am kind of drawn to the blush too! But I think navy and oatmeal will do for me.

Love the dress, Sveta! It is totally you. Why doesn't my Winners stock this stuff.

Hey, we will be broken in khaki twins...maybe literally, because I'm sort of attracted to that blush colour myself. Hmmm. You have got me thinking....

I prefer one size up. I think they will be useful to you and I know you'll style them brilliantly.

The dress is amazing on you! I could see it styled with the lower heeled pointy toe shoe that is coming into vogue for the spring.

I'm not so sure about the pastel pants, but like the closer fit better.
