approprio: I actually keep my WIW pics within this document for evaluation. There is an entire section for doing exactly that. The document is a complete repository for all my tools. And I absolutely should have mentioned that I got the color palette grid structure from into-mind.com and then just put in my own colors. Thanks. This was an oversight.

I also need "experiments, intuition and serendipity" but this is just fun. Not strictly about achieving 100% results. I put items that I purchased (some are definitely serendipity) and I evaluate if this was the right purchase (and I ask myself, would I like something different). I really enjoy the feeling of having explored all options and then deciding on the right one -- knowing I've done my research. For example, my spring buff/blush/biege new bag was not something I hunted for but just spotted and thought "well that's a nice option." Then I came home and started to play with it within The Client Meeting Looks. And some of the new jackets I had purchased (will purchase). I could see how it was working. Then I tried a gray, navy, and light blue bag (just by pulling images online). They are all possible options. So I'm in the process of which one or two bags would be the most versatile and stretch the variety of my looks. And makes me happiest knowing I've explored all the options (and have spent my pennies wisely).

I can also be so tired some days that I needed a way to assemble outfits without actually trying them on. I told carter that I would need a can of RedBull if was going to do her closet/capsule creation post. Thanks for the comments!

Tania: Yes, it feels very systematic. Thanks!

lisp: I'l look for your pm. Happy to discuss. Thanks for the comment.

I only had time for a quick glance at these, and I have not kept up with your other post or explanations of how you do this, but I need to know what's happening here and how you do this. I get Powerpoint, but what else? Anyways - I'll pm you when i am back in my office later today - I am good and intrigued by this (not that I have more time to devote to playing around with such trivial nonsense as clothes but.....haha)

Alasse: Yes, it is a useful tool for me. For creativity and prioritization. Thanks.

Aliona: Funny! I'm getting better at understanding what works but I definitely have days when the bed is full of clothes. Haha. And thank you. And I'm excited about cargo skinnies.

Suz: Thanks. Organization, yes. But also super fun.

carter: Love your idea of doing a "Signature Daily Look" for Spring/Summer. I started this document last fall -- and I didn't even realize that this slide was season specific. Great call. Thanks!

The color palette has been fun. And area that I enjoy as I try to stick to neutrals but have some variations.

I'm getting exciting about the client meeting looks too! I'm all about long toppers and I have managed to find some great ones this spring. Hallelujah.

And I completely agree -- "I love to see other "planners'" approaches." Post your "signature daily look" slide soon!

Firecracker: Thank you. It makes having a shopping list so much easier. And I've had to do a lot of refreshing. Thank you.

Carole: Thanks. And you have given me an idea -- to actually articulate goals on one slide. Again, thanks! Dive right in. It's fun. Don't get paralysis.

jenanded: So happy to hear that I have inspired some color combos. And thank you! It is a very valuable tool for me.

This is brilliant. I can see you've been to into-mind.com. Thanks for sharing!

I've been wracking my brains trying to figure out how to make this approach work for me, but so much of what I do is about experiment, intuition and serendipity that I've never gotten further than the colour palettes.

I like the dress-up doll approach too. I went through a phase of photographing everything in the closet and assembling them into outfits. It helped, but I've since found that regular WIW selfies work best. That way I can critique myself with an eye on what suits me and works well in practice.

I love to see other "planners'" approaches. I will absolutely be doing a "signature daily look" slide!

Wow, AM, I'm super impressed at your ability to visualize an outfit based on boards -- I definitely do not have that skill and have to go through the slog of trying everything on to decide what works.

Carol and Carter. My use of PowerPoint covers a few different areas of my planning. And please know, as I said, this is a work in progress. And some of the slides are incomplete. But here goes:

My Boards:
1 - Styling is a Profession (A reminder that this requires work.)
2-6: Broad conceptual boards for style, color palette, challenge, etc.
7-8: Color study for Spring/Summer
9-14: Lifestyle Concept Boards for Inspiration
15-17: Outfits for Spring/Summer/Client Meetings (still in progress but based on items I've purchased -- and what I was working on when I saw Carole's post. Need to build out with shoes, jewelry, etc.)
18: Shoe Board (Some of My Current Shoes)
19-20: Outfit Planning Boards from Fall/Winter (Some of My Current Pieces)

I'm hoping to take some of the outfit boards to another level of detail.
I'm glad I'm not alone with PowerPoint and Boards (with any software).

There are many, many more boards but here is a sampling.
