I personally like wearing thicker belts at my waistline and thinner belts with more volumnious tops at the hip line. I've found that it elongates the torso for me.

It's hard to say because I’ve found that both skinny and wide belts work on a thicker waistline. A visual helps enormously.

It also depends on how long your torso is...how much room there is for a belt. Experiment also on wearing a belt of different widths at your natual waist and below, or even slung over your hip. It changes the look of your proportions.

You don't want your belts to get lost in your waistline, so I would tend toward thicker ones. Would you care to post pictures? That helps immensely.

I have a thick waistline. Since I like to wear belts, what type should they be - small, thin belts or larger, thicker ones?
