We didn't have a good experience with home health, unfortunately either. They're very understaffed and apparently many workers work for multiple agencies.<br /> There are dementia specific nursing homes and wards in general ones too- so definitely check there. My cousins eventually gave up on being able to have anyone care for their dad, because he’d sexually harass them. I think it was words and not physical, but either way, no one wants to put up with that at work. (I don’t think it was a change so much as a removal of barriers). He’s in an assisted living facility now. I am so sorry to hear this. By any chance, is your dad a military veteran? If so, there is an Aid &amp; Assistance program he would very likely qualify for. The paperwork is daunting, and it can take up to a year to get qualified, but very much worth slogging through. He needs 24/7 care, and they will probably only qualify for a few hours a week for a short period of time.<br /> It also won't change how offensive my dad is. He screams racial epitaphs at the nurses, uses foul language for the shock factor, and tells the workmen that have been to their house that they don't know what they're doing (in not such a nice way). They've had several people they hired to do jobs around thehouse just quit because of my dad. That's where we thought he was going to recover, but they say he can't go because of his dementia. At this point, it takes two people just to sit him up. The nurse said he will stay in the hospital until he is doing a little better- walking a little at least, but that may only be a few days. They are talking to the social worker to see if they can get some in home help when he comes home... </p>
