I wasn't really counting on bringing home shoes, but I had hoped that maybe there would be some wide calf boots included. No dice - nothing that would fit someone in the 15-16" circumference size range (and above) was available. Apparently (according to the sales consultant who was helping us) wide calf and narrow calf boots were not part of the sale items. She was a bit miffed at the exclusion this year &amp; last year as well and acknowledged that the store is losing out on a pretty large (no pun intended) customer base. </p> <p>My sister, who is a mainstream calf size, did luck out. She tried on the Vince Camuto Bilco tall boots <a href="http://global.syndeca.com/nordstrom/anniversary/2011/sale/?catalogid=anniv2011">(page 33)</a> and we liked them a lot, but what really stole her heart was the Steve Madden Midori Tall Buckle Boot <a href="http://global.syndeca.com/nordstrom/anniversary/2011/sale/?catalogid=anniv2011">(page 61)</a>, which is what she ended up taking home.</p> <p>We also both liked (but didn't buy) a pair of lace-up Naya heeled pumps, which came in very fun colors and were quite comfortable. I saw several cute pairs of flat oxfords, both with and without laces. There were some great Miz Mooz pumps included as well. But in general, I just didn't see anything that "grabbed" me.</p> <p>We've decided to switch our clothing pre-sale day to Friday to avoid the offchance that the items we want end up being sold out, since shoppers can now take them home during the pre-sale. </p>
