My oldest son lives in Osaka and is visiting the US for the first time since Covid. He snowboards in Japan or did until he had a bad accident and had metal rods put in his legs without anesthesia. He watched the whole procedure and worked remotely from a hospital bed. The holiday was a success, and we are now really trying to maximise our time with DS as he is growing up fast.</p> <p><b>Mirjana</b> - I felt lucky to find both of these skirts. The yellow one is worn far less than the denim, but I always feel fab when wearing it.</p> <p><b>Star</b> - I really enjoy transitional weather of Spring and Autumn as I find that the mid-temps the most comfortable and allow a bit more flexibility when dressing.</p> <p><b>Brooklyn</b> - NO WAY - you are most definitely the Queen of Skirts - but I am glad to say that you have had a very positive impact on me and other forum members.</p> <p><b>Dee</b> - As an Australian, skiing is not a sport that most people do, but wow - it is so much fun. My son has good balance from skateboarding and ju jitsu, so he became proficient at snowboarding very quickly. It was good to see his self-confidence grow and also how he took considered risks when challenging himself on harder slopes and runs.</p> <p><b>Robin</b> - I love the denim skirt too. I stalked it on Yoox for about 12 months as I just felt that it would be the right skirt for me. Luckily it eventually was greatly discounted.</p> <p><b>Lyn</b> - I do like wearing black belts! I never wanted to be stuck on a brown karate belt, so close and yet so far...</p> <p><b>Angie</b> - the yellow skirt is definitely swishy and in your colours. My focus has been on working and training as I am preparing for my 3rd dan karate black belt and being busy with work and family time.</p> <p>I enjoy wearing skirts and on Saturday took photos of two favourites:<br /> - Day - denim skirt worn with a lace top, just for being out and about during the day<br /> - Night - a statement skirt, worn with a sweater to a party.</p> <p>I went to a karate friend's house for dinner on Saturday night, it was a thank you to me and his trainers for pushing him along on his black belt journey. It was fun to dress up and see my karate friends and instructors in normal clothing away from the dojo and also to meet their great families. I feel very fortunate to have joined such a nice community.</p> <p>Other news is that at Easter we went to Japan and spent 8 days in the snow. This was a holiday designed for DS and he loved it. It was so fun to see the delight on his face as he snowboarded. My skiing is only at the beginner level, but I really enjoyed doing something so physical when on holiday, as we spent about 5 hours a day on the slopes for 8 days in a row. Photo of us in our snow gear - I ski, DH and DS are cool guys who snowboard. </p>
