Last weekend I took some clothes to my local consignment store, they kept 5 out of 8 items to “inspect” and decide if they are good enough to sell. Two were actual vintage, which they do accept ( one 50s one 80s) but otherwise the website says they want only certain designer brands ( includes NZ designers) or if faster fashion only past 2 years. And I think, why would you clear something out that fast? If it is still good then why turn it over so quickly? I have mixed feelings. To get credit, any clothes passed on have be less than five years old, name brand, and in excellent condition.
