They looked like cowboy boots and I just couldn't do it. I think it was November when I found them again and bought them on the spot. For me, the answer was not to wear them with those particular jeans I had on. They are my favorite shoes now, and I especially love them with tight-ankles pants line leggings and skinnies, and skirts/dresses! No boot cuts or straights. Just too cowboy-like. ETA: and dark bottoms only.
